Public perceptions of digital fashion: An analysis of sentiment and Latent Dirichlet Allocation topic modeling

    Get PDF
Since digital technology has had a significant impact on the fashion industry, digital fashion has become a hot topic in today’s society. Currently, research on digital fashion is focused on the transformation of enterprise marketing strategies and the discussion of digital technology. Despite this, the current study does not include an analysis of the audience’s emotional and cognitive responses to digital fashion on social networking platforms. A comprehensive analysis and discussion of 52,891 posts about digital fashion and virtual fashion published on social networking sites was conducted using k-means clustering analysis, Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling, and sentiment analysis in this study. The study examines the public’s perception and hot topics about digital fashion, as well as the industry’s development situation and trends. According to the findings, both positive and neutral emotions accompany the public’s attitude toward digital fashion. There is a wide range of topics covered in the discussion. Innovations in digital technology have impacted the creation of jobs, talent demand, marketing strategies, profit forms, and industrial chain innovation of fashion-related businesses. Researchers in related fields will find this study useful not only as a reference for research methods and directions, but also as a source of references for research methodology. A case study and data reference will also be provided to industry practitioners

Sme Loan Decision-Making Process: The Declining Role Of Human Capital

This study is intended to establish relationships among a borrower's attributes, the likelihood of loan approval, and the effect of lender's human capital in the SME loan-granting process. A conjoint analysis has been used as the main analytical tool. The results showed that: (1) a borrower's attributes are all positively related to the likelihood of loan approval on different levels, (2) officers place different weights on a borrower's attributes, and (3) human capital factors do not have significant roles in the SME loan-granting proces

Positivity creation and its effect on idea patentability: a case of a new faucet invention

Among criteria of patentability, concern of novelty is taking priority in comparing to non-obviousness and industrial applicability. However, novelty is difficult to be demonstrated before conducting a thorough research of the prior art after a proposal is been designed, which is time-consuming. Under such circumstance, 1) Positive creativity is applied in this research to enhance idea patentability by positively building it during a design process. 2) Start with elaborating idea of positive creativity, its conceptual tool is applied in this research to design a new faucet, and do actual patent application. 3) The result of patents obtained in several countries, including invention (Taiwan) and design patents (Taiwan, U.S., China), indicates that positive creativity is capable of producing patentable ideas. 4) Faucet manufacturing is a traditional industry within which theoretically more difficult to get invention patents. This further indicates that positive creativity (through positivity creation) should have similar effect in providing patentable ideas in highly-innovative industries

The major of fashion performance is an emerging discipline, and the mode of talent training is still undergoing the process of exploration and improvement. The fashion performance major aims to cultivate talents with diversified abilities and a sense of social responsibility in the field of fashion or arts. In order to achieve this objective, the research proposes integrating the teaching mode and educational philosophy of the Capstone Course into fashion performance classes. The research employed case studies to analyze, compare, and summarize related cases, synthesizing the mode of the Capstone Course, which is highly integrated in terms of “knowledge, ability, and practice.” Through deduction, induction, and feasibility analysis, it is demonstrated that the application of the Capstone Course to teaching fashion performance is both practicable and advantageous. The research results offer suggestions regarding the teaching model for fashion performance majors. It may have theoretical guiding significance for the follow-up of the capstone course in the fashion performance major

Application and Parametric Design of Line Visual Illusion Graphics in Clothing

    No full text
This research adopted literature analysis methods to explain the principles and types of line illusion and, secondly, using Grasshopper software generated some fashion design samples with visual illusion element application. Then semantic analysis was applied to investigate audiences’ cognition, with the aim to improve the design. Lastly, Grasshopper software was used to generate new design patterns by changing the set of generated points through algorithm operation and dotted line interference to change the presented linear illusion forms and patterns. The results of this research show that with the support of parametric technology, the opportunities and space for creating line elements in clothing will be further expanded, enabling that real-time pattern or apparel design changes, and adjustments can be realized by parameter variable controlling. The research comprised a new attempt at combining linear visual illusion, fashion design and parametric design, showing the content and design case studies for relevant research in this area

THE ENTREPRENEURIAL START-UP PROCESS: THE ROLE OF SOCIAL CAPITAL AND THE SOCIAL ECONOMIC CONDITION

Entrepreneurship is a complex phenomenon that involves not only economic activity but also social mechanisms. The intention to become an entrepreneur is a matter not only of one’s individual personality but also of one's interaction with the social environment. This study has three main objectives: predicting the existence of entrepreneurial behavioural intentions in different socio-economic conditions; examining how entrepreneurial behavioural intentions formulate entrepreneurial behaviour; and identifying how social capital influences this relationship. It also aims to reveal the differences between entrepreneurs in a relatively mature free market economy (Taiwan) and a newly emerging free market economy (Mongolia). The analysis shows that socio-economic conditions affect the formation of entrepreneurial intentions. There are different approaches to building social capital in a relatively mature market and its newly emerging counterpart. The tendency of having high trust and social ties was found in Taiwanese entrepreneurs, while monitoring is commonly found among Mongolian entrepreneurs

Corporate Sustainability: Impact Factors on Organizational Innovation in the Industrial Area

    No full text
In recent years, the principle of sustainability has received increasing attention in corporate governance, and corporate sustainability is usually achieved through organizational innovation. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that are critical for companies to influence organizational innovation when promoting Industry 4.0. Our research analyzes the relationship between these factors and Industry 4.0, human resources, and corporate sustainability to investigate organizational innovation and its formative factors against the backdrop of the new industrial era. Integrating partial least squares-structured equation modeling (PLS-SEM), bootstrapping, and other methods, we discover that for companies focusing on promoting Industry 4.0, the most important organizational innovation that affects sustainability is influenced by customer orientation, organizational culture, and leadership style in descending order of influence. Meanwhile, knowledge integration capability (KIC) is more important than knowledge absorptivity. It indicates that in the promotion of Industry 4.0, the trend of sustainability led by the leaders is fading, and the customer-driven trend will become more and more obvious in the future
