Interoperability of language-related information: mapping the BLL Thesaurus to Lexvo and Glottolog
Since 2013, the thesaurus of the Bibliography of Linguistic Literature (BLL Thesaurus) has been applied in the context of the Linguistik
portal, a hub for linguistically relevant information. Several consecutive projects focus on the modeling of the BLL Thesaurus as ontology and its linking to terminological repositories in the Linguistic Linked Open Data (LLOD) cloud. Those mappings facilitate the connection between the Linguistik portal and the cloud. In the paper, we describe the current efforts to establish interoperability between the language-related index terms and repositories providing language identifiers for the web of Linked Data. After an introduction of Lexvo and Glottolog, we outline the scope, the structure, and the peculiarities of the BLL Thesaurus. We discuss the challenges for the design of scientifically plausible language classification and the linking between divergent classifications. We describe the prototype of the linking model and propose pragmatic solutions for structural or conceptual conflicts. Additionally, we depict the benefits from the envisaged interoperability - for the Linguistik portal, and the Linked Open Data Community in general
Lin|gu|is|tik: building the linguist's pathway to bibliographies, libraries, language resources and linked open data
This paper introduces a novel research tool for the field of linguistics: The Lin|gu|is|tik web portal provides a virtual library which offers scientific information on every linguistic subject. It comprises selected internet sources and databases as well as catalogues for linguistic literature, and addresses an interdisciplinary audience. The virtual library is the most recent outcome of the Special Subject Collection Linguistics of the German Research Foundation (DFG), and also integrates the knowledge accumulated in the Bibliography of Linguistic Literature. In addition to the portal, we describe long-term goals and prospects with a special focus on ongoing efforts regarding an extension towards integrating language resources and Linguistic Linked Open Data
Some Ternary Phenylmethoxybis(tetrazolium) Complexes of Vanadium(IV,V) and Their Constants of Association
Several liquid-liquid extraction systems containing vanadium {vanadium(IV) or vanadium(V)}, azoderivative of resorcinol {ADR: 4-(2-pyridylazo)-resorcinol (PAR) or 4-(2-thiazolylazo)-resorcinol (TAR)} and (phenylmethoxibis)tetrazolium salts {MBT: 3,3\u27-(3,3\u27-dimetoxy-4,4\u27-biphenylene)-bis(2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium) chloride (Blue Tetrazolium, BT) or 3,3\u27-(3,3\u27-dimetoxy-4,4\u27-biphenylene)-bis[2,5-di(4-nitrophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium] chloride (Tetranitroblue Tetrazolium, TNBT)} were studied. The optimum operating conditions and compositions of the extracted species were found. The constants of association (β) between MBT2+ and the anionic V–ADR chelates (Cheln–) were calculated. Previously re-ported negative linear relationship between log β and the number of nitro groups included in tetrazolium cation (Nnitro) was discussed taking into account the obtained results and literature data for V–ADR–MBT complexes of the same class, in which MBT is BT or 3,3\u27-(3,3\u27-dimetoxy-4,4\u27-biphenylene)bis[2-(4-nitrophenyl)-5-phenyl-2H-tetrazolium] chloride (Nitroblue Tetrazolium, NBT). Spectrophotometric Determination of Gallium(III) with 4-(2-Pyridylazo)-resorcinol and Nitron
The formation and liquid-liquid extraction of ion-association complex between gallium(III) − 4-(2-pyridylazo)-resorcinol (PAR) – 1,4-diphenyl-3-(phenylamino)-1H-1,2,4-triazole (nitron, Nt), water and chloroform were studied. The optimum conditions for gallium(III) extraction as an ion-association complex, (NtH)+[Ga3+(PAR)2]-, were found: pH, concentration of the reagents and shaking time. The
following key constants were calculated: constant of extraction (logKex = 6.28 ± 0.07), constant of association (logβ = 4.98 ± 0.05), constant of distribution (logKD = 1.30 ± 0.02) and recovery factor (R / % = 95.17 ± 0.02). Beerʼs law is obeyed for Ga(III) concentration up to 0.8 μg cm-3 with apparent molar
absorptivity of (10.3 ± 0.4)×104 dm-3 mol-1 cm-1 at λmax = 510 nm. Some additional characteristics, such as limit of detection (LOD = 0.072 μg cm-3), limit of quantification (LOQ = 0.24 μg cm-3) and Sandellʼs sensitivity (SS = 0.000675 ng cm-2) were estimated as well
DEVELOPMENT OF GOLF TOURISM ON THE NORTHERN BULGARIAN BLACK SEA COAST
Golf tourism is a specialized type of tourism, which is still not very popular in Bulgaria, but is assessed as particularly promising. The development of golf tourism in Bulgaria comes with the new century through large-scale foreign investors. 8 golf courses have already been built, and others are under construction. It is envisaged that their number will exceed 30. They attract solvent tourists, diversify the tourist product, extend the tourist season. The natural conditions in Bulgaria are suitable for this sport due to the good climatic and relief conditions. Despite these benefits, golf tourism also poses a number of threats, mainly to the environment, due to the drastic change in landscapes it causes. Territories with habitats of rare and endangered species, including protected areas, are being taken over. The economic benefits at the expense of environmental damage call into question the contribution of golf tourism to the sustainable development of Bulgarian tourism. The aim is to study and analyze the current state, opportunities and prospects for the development of golf tourism on the Northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast. In accordance with the set goal, the report examines the golf complexes on the Northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
