Infection of computer virus using 3D animation

At the first time, computer virus showed at the middle of 1980. As the time advanced, virus also found various technique to duplicate and spread to all parts of our computer. In this research, shows us about the definition, history, basic-role, and each type of computer virus itself. On the other side about animation, remember us about the development of an animated world increasingly becomes the center of attention from various circles. This further supports the owners of the industry continues to produce animation for animation works to the public. In Indonesia, the development of animation industry is still relatively small when compared with major countries like Japan and America. Indonesia has a lot of animators who can be empowered to develop animation work in Indonesia. To keep the animators still exist in Indonesia, the researcher tries to make the simulation movie of three-dimensional animation using 3D Studio Max 10. Researcher tries to create a simulation movie related with virus mechanism insides computer in general. So that, every student especially student of Computer Science and Information System in FST UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta will understand on how the virus will infect the computer. At this moment, researcher uses 3DS Max as a software to design some characters which played this simulation movie. With a methodology of Sutopo (2003), named Multimedia Development Method, researcher considers to follows each step untill the simulation movie was finished. It starts from concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. Researcher also combines audio, text, image, animation, and video to perform this simulation movie. Each of main 3D techniques such as: modeling, texturing/mapping, rigging, skinning, and rendering also being explained by the researcher. But in this case, researcher only limited this research with modeling, texturing/mapping, and rendering. This simulation movie purposed to add more information about virus mechanism, step by step (in general) for educational purpose. So, students will understand about file type virus�s mechanism which was performed in this simulation movie
