Approaches and Technologies for Preservation of Sugarcane juice: A Review
Every region of India has access to the cooling sweet soft drink known as sugarcane juice. It is an essential product on the world market since it has great health advantages. Sugarcane juice competes with other soft drinks in the market pushed by health-conscious consumers, and the sugarcane growers profit financially. To extend the shelf life of sugarcane juice, processing must be combined with the development of appropriate preservation methods. Researchers have looked into a variety of sugarcane juice preservation techniques, including chemical, thermal, and non-thermal techniques. Pasteurization is one of the many methods that are used for preserving sugarcane juice. Pasteurization, however, results in the loss of flavor, aroma, colour, taste, and vital nutrients. Non-thermal procedures, which can preserve the nutritional and sensory qualities of fresh juices, are now receiving more attention. This review article examines numerous preservation methods for sugarcane juice, analyses them, and suggests a course of action to assist determine the best method for doing so. Different criteria for different types of technologies are discussed with their advantages and drawbacks. Technologies which do not use chemical additives have also been discussed, while taking their industrial scalability and economical aspects under consideration. Prime focus is kept on developing a technology which is economical, industrially acceptable and greener for the environment
The Comparision of Hybrid and Quadrilateral Discretization Models for the Topology Optimization of Compliant Mechanisms
The design domain of a synthesized compliant mechanism is discretized into quadrilateral design cells in both hybrid and quadrilateral discretization models. However, quadrilateral discretization model allows for point connection between two diagonal design cells. Hybrid discretization model completely eliminates point connection by subdividing each quadrilateral design cell into triangular analysis cells and connecting any two contiguous quadrilateral design cells using four triangular analysis cells. When point connection is detected and suppressed in quadrilateral discretization, the local topology search space is dramatically reduced and slant structural members are serrated. In hybrid discretization, all potential local connection directions are utilized for topology optimization and any structural members can be smooth whether they are in the horizontal, vertical or diagonal direction. To compare the performance of hybrid and quadrilateral discretizations, the same design and analysis cells, genetic algorithm parameters, constraint violation penalties are employed for both discretization models. The advantages of hybrid discretization over quadrilateral discretization are obvious from the results of two classical synthesis examples of compliant mechanisms.</jats:p
The Comparative Study of Albendazole and Euphorbia thymifolia for Anthelmintic Activity
Nanoparticles are defined as particles with one or more dimensions and sizes between one and one hundred nanometers (nm) by ISO and ASTM standards. Due to their special qualities, silver nanoparticles have a wide range of uses, including antibacterial, anticancer, larvicidal, catalytic, and wound healing processes. Any medication that treats parasitic worm-related infections is known as an anthelmintic (helminthes). An established anthelmintic medication is Albendazole. Certain tapeworm infections are treated with the drug Albendazole (such as neurocysticercosis and hydatid disease). The centrifugation method wasused for 3 hours and 34 hours, respectively, to manufacture silver nanoparticles from Albendazole and Euphorbia thymifolia. Pheretima posthuma, an Indian earthworm, was tested for anthelmintic activity using Albendazole and Euphorbia thymifolia nanoparticles in ethanol. The results were stated for paralysis and bacterial death time after monitoring various concentrations of both Albendazole and Euphorbia thymifolia. Both plants' dose-dependent activity was seen. However, the synthetic medicineAlbendazole exhibits greater activity than the herbal drug Euphorbia thymifolia. It was determined thatboth the synthetic and natural medicines had anthelmintic activity, withAlbendazole having more of aneffect thanEuphorbia thymifolia
