Chiral Fermions on the Lattice
A recently proposed method for regularizing chiral gauge theories
non-perturbatively is discussed in detail. The result is an effective action
which can be computed from the lattice gauge field, and which is suited for
numerical simulations.Comment: Talk given by G. Schierholz at Yukawa International Seminar on

Physics objectives for future studies of the spin structure of the nucleon
Physics perspectives are shown for future experiments in electron or positron scattering on nucleons, towards a deep and comprehensive understanding of the angular momentum structure of the nucleon in the context of Quantum Chromodynamics. Measurements of Generalised Parton Distributions in exclusive reactions and precise determinations of forward Parton Distributions in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering are identified as major physics topics. Requirements are discussed for a next generation of high-luminosity fixed-target experiments in the energy range 30-200 GeV. Seeking CP violating couplings in ZZ production at LEP2
The effects of CP violating anomalous ZZZ and #gamma#ZZ vertices in ZZ production are determined. We present the differential cross-section for e"+e"-#-># ZZ with dependence on the spins of the Z bosons. It is shown that from the different spin combinations those with one longitudinally and one transversally polarized Z in the final state are the most sensitive to CP violating anomalous couplings. European perspectives for electron-nucleon scattering at the luminosity frontier
European perspectives are discussed on fixed-target electron or positron scattering experiments using polarized and unpolarized beams and targets in various combinations. The goal envisioned is a deep and complete understanding of the momentum and spin structure of hadrons in the context of Quantum Chromo Dynamics, based on measurements at moderate and low photon virtualities. This program can be realized by performing electron-nucleon experiments with high resolution and high luminosity, at beam energies of at least 25-30 GeV.
