In lieu of an abstract, below is the essay\u27s first paragraph. For years I resisted the blandishments, the siren song of the Freudian school of literary analysis. Marie Bonaparte and her disciple, Leslie Fiedler, left me cold with their broad, enticing hints of impotency and miscegenated homosexuality. Whenever I was accused by some staid Jamesian of treating his milk-soppy, fingertipkissing, neuter Henry with cavalier Freudianism, I invariably took umbrage at the libel. My central position, as I saw it, was that if there is latent homosexuality in us all, awaiting only the proper moment of failure and frustration to signal its emergence, then let latent homosexuality lie. I, for one, didn\u27t want to know about this disgraceful aspect of my idlibidoego. Anyway, the only homosexual personalities I\u27ve ever met were anything but latent: you could spot them a mile away. Their patter is as subtle as that of a Peking Red Guard cadre, and their approach is quite as obvious as that of one male dog to another

I second the emotion: each of us has at least a little bit of poetry penned up inside him, and to spew it forth now and again does the world absolutely no harm. The worst that can be said of one\u27s effort is that yet another bad poem has been added tot he burden of bad poetry already in existence

The Effect that Using a Tutor or Learning Center has on Student\u27s Grades

Education is an important issue among the society\u27s youth. Some students need extra reinforcement and support to fully understand topics and concepts. There are many learning centers and tutors that are out to help build students\u27 success both in and out of school. This study was done in order to find out how effective learning centers and tutors are on students\u27 grades, as well as, performances. The study was conducted at the Sylvan Learning Center, where data was collected on diagnostic and progress testing, along with report cards. This data was collected in order to show that learning centers are beneficial for students\u27 grades, motivation, focus, and performance. The study favored the Sylvan Learning Center. Results were shown that students who attended the Sylvan Learning Center improved their grades, as well as, their foundational and fundamental skills
