    Sebuah Peta memiliki peranan penting dalam membantu seseorang dalam memandu menemukan lokasi tertentu. Surabaya Map merupakan salah satu peta digital lokal yang berupa interactive media yang menawarkan konten berupa lokasi di kota Surabaya. Dengan jumlah yang sangat besar yaitu lokasi bisnis, hiburan dan lokasi lainnya di Surabaya membuat kota ini memiliki banyak alternatif bagi masyarakat yang ingin mengunjungi lokasi tertentu sehingga sebuah peta sangat berpotensi untuk membantu masyarakat. Namun Kenyataannya Surabaya Map kurang mampu menfasilitasi kebutuhan tersebut baik dari segi konten peta maupun tampilan visualnya. Informasi yang sedikit dan tampilan desain yang kurang menarik serta usia media yang sudah lama membuat media ini terus menerus kehilangan perhatian dari masyarakat. Hal ini membutuhkan perhatian mengingat potensi yang besar tentang media tersebut untuk dikembangkan. Maka diperlukan langkah untuk mendesain ulang dan melakukan riset kembali dengan berdasarkan metode teori interactive media dan information design diharapkan mampu menggali dan merancang Surabaya Map dengan penyajian yang baru dan berbeda. Diharapkan media menjadi sarana yang sangat bermanfaat dan berpengaruh bagi masyarakat khususnya warga kota Surabaya

    The limited ground marshall, yellow line and others at an airport will affect when parking aircraft. Aviation technology has provided solutions, among others, by attaching to aircraft equipment known as the Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS), is a tool provided by the airport to help a pilot park his plane without the help of a marshaller to direct the movement of planes to the correct parking. However, not all airports are equipped with sophisticated equipment. So this research aims to create a system that can make it easier for pilots to park aircraft while in Apron. To overcome this problem, a VDGS tool was designed which was designed using a TF Mini Lidar sensor and programmed for aircraft parking systems at pioneering airports. This tool is able to provide information on the distance of the plane as far as 12 meters given a condition that the aircraft will display identification of guidance or collision prevention that will STOP if the aircraft is at a distance of 1-3 meters, and GO identification if the aircraft is at a distance of 4-12 meters so that this tool can serves as a guide to the position of the aircraft when parking right in the designated parking area and prevent aircraft crashes when parking when entering the apron area at the pioneer airport

    Monitoring the breathing air in tritium facility rooms for airborne tritium is a radiological safety requirement and a best practice for personnel safety. Besides audible alarms for room evacuation, these monitors often send signals for process shutdown, ventilation isolation, and cleanup system actuation to mitigate releases and prevent tritium spread to the environment. Therefore, these monitors are important not only to personnel safety but also to public safety and environmental protection. This paper presents an operating experience review of tritium monitor performance on demand during small (1 mCi to 1 Ci) operational releases, and intentional airborne inroom tritium release tests. The tritium tests provide monitor operation data to allow calculation of a statistical estimate for the reliability of monitors annunciating in actual tritium gas airborne release situations. The data show a failure to operate rate of 3.5E-06/monitor-hr with an upper bound of 4.7E-06, a failure to alarm on demand rate of 1.4E-02/demand with an upper bound of 4.4E-02, and a spurious alarm rate of 0.1 to 0.2/monitor-yr

    In both the classroom setting and field practicum, social work students begin to develop competence in practice with diverse populations. Field instructors play a critical role in educating students on diversity issues and preparing students to practice without bias. A cross-sectional study was conducted to better understand social attitudes of field instructors participating in a Seminar in Field Instructor (SIFI) training (N=88). The field instructors had generally positive attitudes. Results indicated that field instructors’ comfort level and demographic variables were predictors of social attitudes. Implications for social work field instruction are discussed

    Direct transport across the plasma membrane of mammalian cells of Leishmania HASPB as revealed by a CHO export mutant

    Leishmania HASPB is a lipoprotein that is exported to the extracellular space from both Leishmania parasites and mammalian cells via an unconventional secretory pathway. Exported HASPB remains anchored in the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane mediated by myristate and palmitate residues covalently attached to the N-terminal SH4 domain of HASPB. HASPB targeting to the plasma membrane depends on SH4 acylation that occurs at intracellular membranes. How acylated HASPB is targeted to the plasma membrane and, in particular, the subcellular site of HASPB membrane translocation is unknown. In order to address this issue, we screened for clonal CHO mutants that are incapable of exporting HASPB. A detailed characterization of such a CHO mutant cell line revealed that the expression level of the HASPB reporter molecule is unchanged compared to CHO wild-type cells; that it is both myristoylated and palmitoylated; and that it is mainly localized to the plasma membrane as judged by confocal microscopy and subcellular fractionation. However, based on a quantitative flow cytometry assay and a biochemical biotinylation assay of surface proteins, HASPB transport to the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane is largely reduced in this mutant. From these data, we conclude that the subcellular site of HASPB membrane translocation is the plasma membrane as the reporter molecule accumulates in this location when export is blocked. Thus, these results allow us to define a two-step process of HASPB cell surface biogenesis in which SH4 acylation of HASPB firstly mediates intracellular targeting to the plasma membrane. In a second step, the plasma membrane-resident machinery, which is apparently disrupted in the CHO mutant cell line, mediates membrane translocation of HASPB. Intriguingly, the angiogenic growth factor FGF-2, another protein secreted by unconventional means, is shown to be secreted normally from the HASPB export mutant cell line. These observations demonstrate that the export machinery component defective in the export mutant cell line functions specifically in the HASPB export pathway

    Counting Complex Disordered States by Efficient Pattern Matching: Chromatic Polynomials and Potts Partition Functions

    Counting problems, determining the number of possible states of a large system under certain constraints, play an important role in many areas of science. They naturally arise for complex disordered systems in physics and chemistry, in mathematical graph theory, and in computer science. Counting problems, however, are among the hardest problems to access computationally. Here, we suggest a novel method to access a benchmark counting problem, finding chromatic polynomials of graphs. We develop a vertex-oriented symbolic pattern matching algorithm that exploits the equivalence between the chromatic polynomial and the zero-temperature partition function of the Potts antiferromagnet on the same graph. Implementing this bottom-up algorithm using appropriate computer algebra, the new method outperforms standard top-down methods by several orders of magnitude, already for moderately sized graphs. As a first application, we compute chromatic polynomials of samples of the simple cubic lattice, for the first time computationally accessing three-dimensional lattices of physical relevance.     Finite-Size Effects in a Supercooled Liquid

    We study the influence of the system size on various static and dynamic properties of a supercooled binary Lennard-Jones liquid via computer simulations. In this way, we demonstrate that the treatment of systems as small as N=65 particles yields relevant results for the understanding of bulk properties.
