    THE BENEFITS OF KINETIC PROGRAM FOR PACIENTS WITH TOTAL HIP PROSTHESIS

    Background. The aim of this paper is to study the importance of kinetic treatment in the postoperative rehabilitation of muscle strength in order to restore joint range of motion (ROM), flexibility and improve gait for total hip prosthesis patients, also to relieve pain and for increase patient quality of life on long term. We consider that an individualized kinetic program is applied as early as possible for functional rehabilitation of the prosthetic hip then the socio-professional reintegration will be faster and the quality of life will increased. Methods. A retrospective study on 15 patients who underwent a rehabilitation treatment after balancing prosthesis intervention from June 2017 to February 2018 at the Calafat Rehabilitation Hospital. 12 who participate to the kinetic program (B1 group), and 3 (B2 group) who are unable to benefit from this program due to major contraindications. The evaluations were performed at admission, during the kinetic program (after 30 days) and at the end of the program (after 90 days). Results. There are significant differences between B1 group and B2. It's noted that hip joint ROM is higher for group B1 than group B2, the faster rehabilitation trend is observed for patients in group B1 due to the fact that they also work for the rehabilitation of muscle strength. The significant results of the active ROM is recorded at 90 days postoperatively, during this time the patients of the B1 lot gain a muscle hip joint strength. Conclusions. The postoperative evolution of patients with total hip prosthesis requires a complex assessment to establish the patient's functional abilities. In this study we found that within the 30 and 90 day evaluation following individualized rehab programs compared to patients who didn’t follow such a program, a feature highlighted in particular by the obvious improvement in functional abilities gait parameters at this patients

    ELECTROMYOGRAPHY PATTERNS CHANGES AT DIFFERENT CATEGORIES OF PROFESSIONAL SPORTSMEN

    Object of our paper was to study the electromyography activity at different categories of professional sportsmen (handball players and volleyball players),tocompare the obtained results and to emphasizedspecific electromyography patterns to each studied sports. Group of study was formed of 24 male professional sportsmen, 11 handball players and 13 volleyball sportsmen, with at least 6 years experience, in either one of the practiced sports, homogeneous regarding ages, heights and weights. Were recorded EMG to allathletes, together withmechanogram,during maximum isometric contractions of fingers flexors from both hands. Weused silver surface electrodes and the EMG BIOPAC MP 150 two channels device, with two active electrodes for each channel, the reference onebeing placed on forearm distal extremity, which was connected to a PC Pentium IV, whose program processed the data offered by BIOPAC system. To improve the interpretation of the obtained parameters, they were divided in 4 categories: of frequency, of mechanogram, of time and mixed and for each one of the parameters, were calculated other characteristic indexes. For most of the mechanogram parameters, handball players presented the highest values and the frequency parameters had superior values for volleyball players. So, the obtained EMG patterns were different, specific to the type of physical effort, that characterized each studied sports and proved to be an important contributor to sportive performances increasing, by helping the trainers to set adequate professional training programs for each athlete

    Identifying the Muscle Contraction Activity at Athletes Using Brain Mapping

    Background: Understanding the brain function and how it coordinate the motor activity, means to have  a map of brain using a lot of modern technologies which can give us information about the role and functions of different brain areas. Objective: The aim of our study is to explore the brain activity using electroencephalography (EEG) and make the evaluation of differences in brain functions depend on specific sport activity. Methods: We make the study on two lots of athletes from judo (12subjects) and volleyball (11subjects), yrs. 22. All of them have a great sport activity experience and the anthropometric characteristics are similar. For recording the brain activity we use Nihon EEG product. The protocol of the research includes recording of brain activity during muscle contraction and relax of hand flexors. The parameters that we follow up are alpha1, alpha2 and theta waves. The information have been analysed using statistic methods and Pearson coefficient. Judo players present a little bit increase values of theta waves and we observe also a correlation between alpha waves for dominant hemisphere. For the second lot the values of theta waves are highest. Conclusions: Analyse the behaviour of EEG waves could help the trainer and staff for approach the training results in term of build the brain and motor pattern. This is the result of professional approach of training based on neurophysiologic assessment using the brain mapping.</em
