Stability of hybrid stochastic retarded systems

    Get PDF
Abstract-In the past few years, hybrid stochastic retarded systems (also known as stochastic retarded systems with Markovian switching), including hybrid stochastic delay systems, have been intensively studied. Among the key results, Mao et al. proposed the Razumikhin-type theorem on exponential stability of stochastic functional differential equations with Markovian switching and its application to hybrid stochastic delay interval systems. However, the importance of general asymptotic stability has not been considered. This paper is to study Razumikhin-type theorems on general theorem moment asymptotic stability of hybrid stochastic retarded systems. The proposed theorems apply to complex systems including some cases when the existing results cannot be used

Non-fragile Finite-time Stabilization for Discrete Mean-field Stochastic Systems

In this paper, the problem of non-fragile finite-time stabilization for linear discrete mean-field stochastic systems is studied. The uncertain characteristics in control parameters are assumed to be random satisfying the Bernoulli distribution. A new approach called the ``state transition matrix method" is introduced and some necessary and sufficient conditions are derived to solve the underlying stabilization problem. The Lyapunov theorem based on the state transition matrix also makes a contribution to the discrete finite-time control theory. One practical example is provided to validate the effectiveness of the newly proposed control strategy

Advances in stabilisation of hybrid stochastic differential equations by delay feedback control

    Get PDF
A novel approach to design the feedback control based on past states is proposed for hybrid stochastic differential equations (HSDEs). This new theorem builds up the connection between the delay feedback control and the control function without delay terms, which enables one to construct the delay feedback control using the existing results on stabilities of HSDEs. Methods to find the upper bound of the length of the time delay are also investigated. Numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the new theorem

Stabilization via delay feedback for highly nonlinear stochastic time-varying delay systems with Markovian switching and Poisson jump

Little work seems to be known about stabilization results of highly nonlinear stochastic time-varying delay systems (STVDSs) with Markovian switching and Poisson jump. This paper is concerned with the stabilization problem for a class of STVDSs with Markovian switching and Poisson jump. The coefficients of such systems do not satisfy the conventional linear growth conditions, but are subject to high nonlinearity. The aim of this paper is to design a delay feedback controller to make an unstable highly nonlinear STVDSs with Markovian switching and Poisson jump H∞-stable and asymptotically stable. Besides, an illustrative example is provided to support the theoretical results

Basic theory and stability analysis for neutral stochastic functional differential equations with pure jumps

    Get PDF
This paper investigates the existence and uniqueness of solutions to neutral stochastic functional differential equations with pure jumps (NSFDEwPJs). The boundedness and almost sure exponential stability are also considered. In general, the classical existence and uniqueness theorem of solutions can be obtained under a local Lipschitz condition and linear growth condition. However, there are many equations that do not obey the linear growth condition. Therefore, our first aim is to establish new theorems where the linear growth condition is no longer required whereas the upper bound for the diffusion operator will play a leading role. Moreover, the pth moment boundedness and almost sure exponential stability are also obtained under some loose conditions. Finally, we present two examples to illustrate the effectiveness of our results

Delay-Dependent Robust Exponential Stability for Uncertain Neutral Stochastic Systems with Interval Time-Varying Delay

    Get PDF
This paper discusses the mean-square exponential stability of uncertain neutral linear stochastic systems with interval time-varying delays. A new augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) has been constructed to derive improved delay-dependent robust mean-square exponential stability criteria, which are forms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). By free-weight matrices method, the usual restriction that the stability conditions only bear slow-varying derivative of the delay is removed. Finally, numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method

Numerical Schemes for Stochastic Differential Equations with Variable and Distributed Delays: The Interpolation Approach

    Get PDF
A kind of the Euler-Maruyama schemes in discrete forms for stochastic differential equations with variable and distributed delays is proposed. The linear interpolation method is applied to deal with the values of the solutions at the delayed instants. The assumptions of this paper on the coefficients and related parameters are somehow weaker than those imposed by the related past literature. The error estimations for the Euler-Maruyama schemes are given, which are proved to be the same as those for the fundamental EulerMaruyama schemes
