Overcoming ambiguities in classical and quantum correlation measures
We identify ambiguities in the available frameworks for defining quantum,
classical, and total correlations as measured by discordlike quantifiers. More
specifically, we determine situations for which either classical or quantum
correlations are not uniquely defined due to degeneracies arising from the
optimization procedure over the state space. In order to remove such
degeneracies, we introduce a general approach where correlations are
independently defined, escaping therefore from a degenerate subspace. As an
illustration, we analyze the trace-norm geometric quantum discord for two-qubit
Bell-diagonal states.Comment: 5 pages, 2 figures. v2: Minor corrections. Published versio
Final state interaction in with I=1/2 and 3/2 channels
The final state interaction contribution to decays is computed for the
channel within a light-front relativistic three-body model for
the final state interaction. The rescattering process between the kaon and two
pions in the decay channel is considered. The off-shell decay amplitude is a
solution of a four-dimensional Bethe-Salpeter equation, which is decomposed in
a Faddeev form. The projection onto the light-front of the coupled set of
integral equations is performed via a quasi-potential approach. The S-wave
interaction is introduced in the resonant isospin and the
non-resonant isospin channels. The numerical solution of the light-front
tridimensional inhomogeneous integral equations for the Faddeev components of
the decay amplitude is performed perturbatively. The loop-expansion converges
fast, and the three-loop contribution can be neglected in respect to the
two-loop results for the practical application. The dependence on the model
parameters in respect to the input amplitude at the partonic level is exploited
and the phase found in the experimental analysis, is fitted with an appropriate
choice of the real weights of the isospin components of the partonic amplitude.
The data suggests a small mixture of total isospin to the dominant
one. The modulus of the unsymmetrized decay amplitude, which presents a deep
valley and a following increase for masses above GeV, is fairly
reproduced. This suggests the assignment of the quantum numbers to the
isospin 1/2 resonance
Geometric classical and total correlations via trace distance
We introduce the concepts of geometric classical and total correlations
through Schatten 1-norm (trace norm), which is the only Schatten p-norm able to
ensure a well-defined geometric measure of correlations. In particular, we
derive the analytical expressions for the case of two-qubit Bell-diagonal
states, discussing the superadditivity of geometric correlations. As an
illustration, we compare our results with the entropic correlations, discussing
both their hierarchy and monotonicity properties. Moreover, we apply the
geometric correlations to investigate the ground state of spin chains in the
thermodynamic limit. In contrast to the entropic quantifiers, we show that the
classical correlation is the only source of 1-norm geometric correlation that
is able to signaling an infinite-order quantum phase transition.Comment: v2: published versio
Clinical and andrological profile of Canindé and Moxotó bucks experimentally infected with small ruminants lentivirus (LVPR). Abstract: The aim in this work was to evaluate the clinical, hematologic and andrologic characteristics of native bucks experimentally infected by CAEV. Ten native bucks from Canindé and Moxotó breeds were used, divided in a group experimentally infected and a group control non infected. The hematologic evaluation was accomplished monthly, clinical evaluation biweekly and andrologic evaluation weekly. Before the experimental infection, all the bucks presented normal at clinical and andrologic evaluation. The hematologic evaluation did not differ significantly between the experimental groups. The animals presented values below the normal for bucks for the hematocrit, hemoglobin and CHCM in some months of evaluation. The seminal volume was significantly superior in the infected animals before the infection and the sperm concentration superior only in the third month of evaluation. The caprine arthritis-encephalitis virus does not alter the clinical, hematologic and andrologic parameters from native bucks recently infected in the period that precedes the seroconversion.Trabalho apresentado no 6o.
