STUDIES REGARDING THE MORPHOLOGY OF HORSE CHESTNUT LEAFMINER΄ S LARVA (Cameraria ohridella Deschka & Dimič)

    Get PDF
Horse leafminer of ornamental chestnut (Cameraria ohridella Deschka & Dimič) spread in Europe very quickly and produces important damages to species like Aesculus especially to Aesculus hippocastanum L. Science peoples from European countries where this pest is present, were and are concern by all the aspects regarding this pest: origin, area of spread, morphology, biology and fighting. The present paper completes the aspect of morphology of larva by photos of larvae using electron microscope in different development stages, so to can determinate the medium size of larvae in every stage, inclusive aspects regarding the segments characteristics of thorax and abdomen. This characteristics help to determinate the larval stage of development

RESEARCH CONCERNING THE INTEGRATED CONTROL OF DISEASES PESTS AND WEEDS IN CABBAGE CROP

Cabbage as vegetable has a great importance both alimentary and medicinal. Its cultivation require a well balanced technique especially regarding the treatments to control diseases, pests and weeds. The aim of this paper is to establish a strategy of integrated control of the pests, diseases and weeds in cabbage crops, in the context of a sustainable agriculture

The Positioning of Universities in Collaborative Models as Clusters in a Knowledge Based Economy

    Get PDF
The most significant research about knowledge based economy is concentrated on innovation. Research about entrepreneurial thinking at the university level and positioning of universities in collaborative models as clusters are in the early stages. The new approach that we propose in this research is positioning the university as a main promoter and integrator of organizations in clusters and innovations enterprises networks in a global network of knowledge. The results of this research are based on data that was obtained through questionnaires from organizations that are active in the ITC industry in the region of Bucharest-Ilfov. These characteristics are representative for different types of clusters.economic cluster, institutional cluster, objectives for cluster establishing, specialized knowledge

Influence of Thinning Grapes on Vine Block Wintering, in Five Grape Varieties for Red Wines, Cultivated in NW Romania

Five grape varieties for red wines (Pinot noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah andBurgund mare) were tested in 2009-2010, in NW Romania (Rătești wine-growing center), under twotypes of cultural technology: thinning and without thinning grapes. The work of fruit loadstandardization through thinning grapes has been made at the beginning of veraison (third decade ofJuly in 2009 and the first decade of august in 2010). In this study, were made observations regardingtemperatures during the period 2009-2010 and the level of critical temperature during winter, in orderto establish the quantity of carbohydrates (g %) from vine shoots and bud viability (%). Theexperiment was a bifactorial series (cultivar x fruit load standardization) with five grape wine varietiesgrown and two different applied technologies: thinning and without thinning grapes. Regardless of thestandardization of fruit load, Syrah variety distinguished with high carbohydrate values of string, obtained during the two years of testing (15.94 g %) meaning good adaptability of the variety toclimatic conditions in the Rătești wine area. The other four species showed significant differencesfrom the Syrah variety, however, between them, the differences are insignificant. The two variantsanalyzed (thinning and no thinning) had a significant influence on the accumulation of reservesubstances. The string bud viability was high (over 85 %) to all five species tested

RESEARCH REGARDING THE CHEMICAL FIGHTING OF CAMERARIA OHRIDELLA DESCHKA & DIMIC SPECIE BY APPLYING AT GROUND THE SYSTEMATIC INSECTICIDES

For chemical fighting of Cameraria ohridella Deschka & Dimic specie were used more ways: foliar treatment, endotherapeutical methods , the applying of the solution on the trunk and low branches , as well as at the root of the tree. In year 2007 the efficiency of two systematic insecticides was tested : Confidor 200 SL and Calypso 480 SC.A quantity of 10 liters of solution was applied on ground , at the root of young chestnut trees. The treatments were made on every generation partly. The moment of the appliance of the treatment was established thru the monitorisation of the pest population using feromonal traps. The used dosage was 0,05 % and 0,08 % for every product. The establishment of the efficiancy was made by counting the mines from the treated leaves , in comparison with the blank sample. The presented data in tabel 1 are setting off the fact that the most efficient treatment proved to be the one with the Confidor 200 SL-0,08% insecticide. In this case the number of mines/leaf were with 78,84 % less than on the blank sample.Close results were canned also for the insecticides Calypso 480 SC 0,08% and Confidor 200 SL 0,05% , situation when the number of mines/leaf was decreased with 73,63 % , respective with 72,64 % , in comparing with the blank sample. The lowest efficiancy recorded in the case of Calypso 480 SC 0,05 % insecicide

RESEARCH REGARDING THE CHEMICAL FIGHTING OF CAMERARIA OHRIDELLA DESCHKA & DIMI? SPECIES

From all the tested methods by the researchers from all Europe’s countries where Cameraria ohridella Deschka & DimiÄc specie was rencountered , the most efficient were the chemical ones. In year 2007 was tested the efficiency of one kind of insecticide for fighting this pest. The foliar treatments were used for every generation partly. The moment of the appliance of the treatments was established thru the pursuance of the pest population using the feromonal traps. The chemical products used have different active substances. The used doses were recommandated by the producer , specially for every product

RESEARCH REGARDING THROUGH FIGHTING AGAINST THE CAMERARIA OHRIDELLA DESCHKA & DIMI? SPECIES USING TRAPS WITH ALIMENTARY ATRACTANT

    Get PDF
There were tested different methods of fighting against Cameraria ohridella, such as chemicals, physical-mechanicals and biologicals. As biological methods could be mentioned using fungus, nematodes and pheromones traps. In spring of 2008 on dendrological USAMV park, were placed alimentary traps through capture females of Cameraria ohridella species. The alimentary attractant was represented by two types of chestnut tree leaves extract: first in 25 % ethylic alcohol and second in 25 % of palm tree oil

STUDIES REGARDING THE WHITEFLY EXTERNAL MORPHOLOGY OF THE EGG AND LARVAE (Trialeurodes vaporariorum Westw.)

    Get PDF
The greenhouse whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum Westw.) is one of the most important pests met in protected spaces, determining major damages to vegetables crops and also to the flower crops. this pest, besides the damage it determine in greenhouses crops, in hot years, during summer, it also can be seen in field crops, where it produce great damage by stinging and sucking the cell juice from the leaves tissues and young offshoot of different crop plants. Researchers all over the world where this pest has been seen were and still are preoccupied by all the aspects concerning its origin, spreading areas, morphology, biology and control. The present paper propose a study f the morphology of the egg and larvae of this dangerous pest and the completition of the dates already known with the photos taken at the Center of Electronic Microscopy at Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca
