THE STATUS OF STUDENTS’ POSITIVE QUALITIES IN TABLE TENNIS 1 COURSE AT SAIGON UNIVERSITY, VIETNAM
The purpose of the article is to construct a scale to evaluate the positivity of students in the course Table Tennis 1 at Saigon University, Vietnam. Using common methods in the field of physical education (analysis and synthesis of documents, interviews, statistics). Through reference documents, references and interviews with experts, specialists and lecturers, the article has identified 32 criteria for evaluating the positivity of students in the course Table Tennis 1 at Saigon University. The results of applying 32 evaluation criteria show that the situation of students’ positivity in the course Table Tennis 1 at Saigon University is good in terms of awareness of learning table tennis and the need for positive learning table tennis; average in terms of motivation for positive learning table tennis and positive behavior when learning table tennis; about expressing interest when learning table tennis at a good level according to students and average according to lecturers. Article visualizations
Solutions for Developing University Lecturers’ Competences to Meet the Education 4.0 Requirements
The education 4.0 has been exerting a strong influence on higher education; to respond to our society’s needs, lecturers have been required to possess necessary competences. Inclined to the education 4.0, numerous are universities worldwide which have been undertaking innovations in all aspects. This article concerning this challenge will insist on analyzing our university lecturers’ teaching methods on which the education 4.0’s effect can be seen clearly. Based on the thorough analysis, this article proposes some solutions to developing university lecturers’ competences in the process of adapting to education 4.0. These proposed solutions which are well scientifically founded and experimented will display their feasible and indispensable qualities to help our universities develop needed workforce during this rapidly changing era
University Governance in the Context of Vietnam’s Educational Innovation
University governance brings about the success of a university. Renovation of management in the direction of university governance will exert important influences to improve the training quality of the higher education system. The article presents the theoretical basis and research process related to university governance activities to promote education innovation. The study combined qualitative and quantitative research; the survey sample was 120 people, of which 44 were managers and 76 were lecturers and staff working at Saigon University. The article proposes university governance related to such elements as planning for the development of resources in the university, policy mechanisms, organization and leadership, and monitoring. The article clarifies the relationship between the components of university governance activities in the direction of a system approach to help universities manage their activities towards sustainable university governance
