The aim of the investigations to be carried out in Project TV 8604 A and B was the development of a reasonably priced local traffic system with innovative technology based on a city bus using 3 phase AC technique. By using the 3 phase AC machine without a commutator, one expects advantages in dimensions, lower weight and reduced maintenance costs for the motor, controls and the power part. The actual aim was a reduction in weight and volume of the motor and controls by the use of new types of components now available from electronics and mechanical engineering, and the application of new materials and processes. (orig./HW)Ziel der im Rahmen der Verbundvorhaben TV 8604 A und B durchzufuehrenden Untersuchungen war die Entwicklung eines kostenguenstigen und technologie-innovativen Nahverkehrssystems auf Stadtbus-Basis unter moeglichst konsequenter Ausnutzung der Drehstromtechnik. Durch den Einsatz der kollektorlosen Drehstrommaschine erwartete man Vorteile an Bauabmessungen, geringeres Gewicht und reduzierte Wartungsaufwendungen an Motor, Steuerung und Leistungsteil. Ziel war konkret die Verringerung von Leistungsgewicht und -volumen von Motor und Steuerung durch den Einsatz heute verfuegbarer, neuartiger Bauelemente aus Elektronik und Maschinenbau, sowie die Anwendung neuer Werkstoffe und Verfahren. Erstellung einer Photovoltaikanlage auf dem Motorenwerk Bad Cannstatt Abschlussbericht

Auf dem neuen Motorenwerk der Daimler-Benz-AG in Bad Cannstatt wurde auf einer Dachflaeche von ca. 5000 m"2 eine gebaeudeintegrierte Photovoltaikanlage mit einer Gesamtleistung von 435 kWp errichtet. Sie unterscheidet sich dabei von anderen grossen Photovoltaikanlagen insbesondere durch ihren modularen Aufbau. Die Gesamtanlage gliedert sich auf dem weitraeumigen Dach des Motorenwerkes in fuenf Teilsysteme mit verschiedenen PV-Technologien. Dadurch wurde erreicht, dass in enger Nachbarschaft unterschiedliche technische Loesungen demonstriert und miteinander verglichen werden koennen. Jedes der Teilsysteme zeichnet sich durch besondere Innovationen und technische Loesungen aus. Die einzelnen technischen Loesungen reichen von der Montage von Serien-Grossmodulen auf der aeusseren Dachhaut mittels einer einfachen Unterkonstruktion ueber Generatoren mit thermohydraulischer Nachfuehrung und Verstaerkung des Lichteinfalls durch ebene Spiegel bis hin zu einer Solarmarkise, die die Funktionen des Sonnenschutzes und der Stromerzeugung kombiniert. Die Anlage besitzt ein spezifisches Datenerfassungssystem, welches die Daten aller Teilanlagen zyklisch abfragt. Die uebermittelten Daten umfassen neben den elektrischen Betriebsgroessen der Photovoltaikgeneratoren auch Zustands- und Fehlersignale der Wechselrichter. Die jeweils aktuelle Leistungsbilanz des Gesamtgenerators und der Teilsysteme wird ermittelt und der Betriebszustand jeder einzelnen Teileinheit kontrolliert. Stoerungsmeldungen werden direkt an das Betriebspersonal weitergegeben. (orig.)A 435 kWp photovoltaic system was constructed on a roof area of about 5000 m"2 of the new factory building of Motorenwerk Bad Cannstatt of Daimler-Benz-AG. It is a modular system consisting of five subsystems with different PV technologies so that different technical solutions can be demonstrated and compared, e.g. serially produced generators mounted to the roof cover on simple supports, generators with thermohydraulic tracking and concentration of solar radiation by means of plane mirrors, or solar sunshades which combine the functions of sunshading and electric power generation. The roof-mounted PV systems have a specific data acquisition system for cyclic acquisition of the data of all subsystems. Apart from the electric operating paramters of the PV generatiors, also the status and error signals of the current inverters are acquired. The power balance of the overall generator and its subsystems is determined at regular intervals, and the operating status of the individual units is assessed. Error messages are passed on directly to the operating staff.
