Bis[aqua(2,3-naphtho-15-crown-5)sodium] tetrakis(thiocyanato-κN)cobaltate(II)
The title complex, [Na(C18H22O5)(H2O)]2[Co(NCS)4], consists of two aqua(2,3-naphtho-15-crown-5)sodium complex cations and one [Co(NCS)4]2− complex anion, which has crystallographic symmetry. In the anion, the CoII centre is coordinated by the N atoms of four NCS− ligands in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. In the complex cations, the NaI centre is coordinated by five O atoms of the 2,3-naphtho-15-crown-5 ligand and one water O atom. The complex molecules form a two-dimensional network via weak O—H⋯S interactions between adjacent cations and anion
Three new synonyms of Pohlia (Bryaceae) from China
Three species of Webera and Pohlia described from China were reduced to new synonyms of other species of Pohlia. Webera ciliifera Broth. is a synonym of Pohlia elongata Hedw., W. pygmaea Broth. is a synonym of P. minor Schleich. ex Schwaegr. and P. subflexuosa Broth. is a synonym of P. flexuosa Hook
A -ray Quasi-Periodic modulation in the Blazar PKS 0301243?
We report a nominally high-confidence -ray quasi-periodic modulation
in the blazar PKS 0301243. For this target, we analyze its \emph{Fermi}-LAT
Pass 8 data covering from 2008 August to 2017 May. Two techniques, i.e., the
maximum likelihood optimization and the exposure-weighted aperture photometry,
are used to build the -ray light curves. Then both the Lomb-Scargle
Periodogram and the Weighted Wavelet Z-transform are applied to the light
curves to search for period signals. A quasi-periodicity with a period of
yr appears at the significance level of , although it
should be noted that this putative quasi-period variability is seen in a data
set barely four times longer. We speculate that this -ray
quasi-periodic modulation might be evidence of a binary supermassive black
hole.Comment: 9 pages, 8 figures; Accepted for publication in Ap
Bis[μ-4-amino-3,5-bis(hydroxymethyl)-1,2,4-triazole]bis{bis[4-amino-3,5-bis(hydroxymethyl)-1,2,4-triazole]nickel(II)} tetranitrate methanol disolvate
The title complex, [Ni2(C4H8N4O2)6](NO3)4·2CH4O, contains a centrosymmetric binuclear nickel(II) complex bridged by a pair of 4-amino-3,5-bis(hydroxymethyl)-1,2,4-triazole ligands. The separation between the NiII atoms is 3.962 (1) Å. The Ni atoms are in a slightly distorted octahedral coordination. Intermolecular N—H⋯O, N—H⋯N and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect the ligands, solvent molecules and nitrate ions
(Methanolato)(pyridine)[N 2,N 2′-(pyridine-2,6-diyldicarbonyl)diacetohydrazide(2–)]iron(III) methanol solvate
In the title complex, [Fe(C11H10N5O4)(CH3O)(C5H5N)]·CH4O, the FeIII ion has a distorted pentagonal-bipyramidal geometry. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked into one-dimensional chains along [1
] via intermolecular O—H⋯O and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds
Dibromido{2-hydroxy-N′-[phenyl(2-pyridyl)methylene]benzohydrazide}copper(II)
In the title complex, [CuBr2(C19H15N3O2)], the metal ion is coordinated by the N,N′,O-tridentate 2-hydroxy-N′-[phenyl(2-pyridyl)methylene]benzohydrazide ligand and two bromide ions, resulting in a distorted CuN2OBr2 square-based pyramidal coordination geometry with one bromide ion in the apical site. An intramolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs in the ligand. In the crystal, molecules are connected by intermolecular C—H⋯O, C—H⋯Br and O—H⋯Br interactions
IMAGE-BASED MEASUREMENT AND BIOMECHANICAL ANALYSIS OF THE KNEE JOINT DURING FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITIES
A new approach based on the integration of medical image-based measurement techniques, infrared stereophotogrammetry and finite element modelling (FEM) was developed for comprehensive subject-specific biomechanical analyses of the knee joint during weight-bearing functional activities including cycling. The medical image-based methods include digitally reconstructed radiograph (DRR) based 3D fluoroscopy methods, and a new slice-to-volume registration method using FLASH MRI for the real-time measurement of the 3D kinematics of the knee in vivo. With the new approach, the soft tissue artefacts associated with skin marker-based stereophotogrammetry and their effects on the calculated biomechanical variables were also investigated
Bis(dicyanamido-κN 1)bis[2-(2-hydroxyethyl)pyridine-κ2 N,O]nickel(II)
In the title complex, [Ni{N(CN)2}2(C7H9NO)2], the NiII ion (site symmetry ) adopts a distorted trans-NiO2N4 octahedral geometry. In the crystal, intermolecular O—H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the molecules, forming a chain along the c axis
