Gender ideology proposals and its consequences

Initially,the expression “gender” was used within the field of grammar in order to distinguish masculine, feminine or neuter words. However, from the beginning of the second half of the 20th century, this word has undergone a conceptual change due to its increased use in other areas and, in particular, for having substituted the classical term “sex”,employed in order to designate the human sexual duality, man-woman. In this context,it can be affirmed that gender has displaced sex in contemporary anthropological,social, political and legal discourse. In addition, it has found a definitive place in academic language and in legislation. Although the word gender by itself doesn’t have a positive or negative way to be understood, the problem is its interpretation. Latin America and the Swedish diaspora: the case of Cuba and Argentina

I spent a week at the Swenson Swedish Immigration Center to explore materials that would highlight the history and cultural influence of Swedish and Scandinavian immigration in Latin America. Before beginning my research, I pinpointed a few texts and publications at the Center that I thought would help to develop further connections between race and immigration for Latin America. My intention was to include the subject in the delivery of my Latin American Studies courses at Augustana College and eventually pen a journal article on the research findings. Once I began working at the Swenson Center, I was happy to find a wealth of unexpected materials to enhance my investigation

Vitamin D, in the best clinic in autoimmune, inflammatory infectious and Demelinizing diseases: a critical analysis

The term demyelination is used to characterize any inflammatory changes that occur in the medullary or cephalic region.  Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the central nervous system and in general, besides being inflammatory [08, 25], demyelinating and with significant neuronal degeneration, it is considered an important cause of permanent disability in young adults [02-05]. The inflammatory process occurs by an irregular immune response usually mediated by T cells and acts as autoantigens and leads to destruction of the myelin sheath with genetic predispositions [21]. Thus, these chronic and disabling characteristics place a high cost on public health coffers by temporarily or permanently restricting the economic and social activities of their holders and also impacting the lives of their families in a financial and emotional way [15-18]. Still regarding the high cost treatment to inflammatory-infectious processes, primary and autoimmune demyelinating agents, such as sepsis in the adult and child population is considered a critical disease as the main cause of death in children intensive care in Brazil. In recent years in Brazil [24], the high rate of death from sepsis in Brazilian intensive care units has surpassed deaths from stroke and infarction and approximately 230.000 adult patients undergoing intensive care unit treatment have sepsis and estimated 55.7% of hospitalized patients with sepsis died [24]. It is recognized that Vitamin D deficiency is common in both children and adults hospitalized in severe clinical conditions in intensive care [06-12]

Paper No 17.2: Head-Tracked Dynamic Exit Pupil Multiuser Autostereoscopic Display

In this paper, a glasses-free (autostereoscopic) display is described where the controlled illumination for a liquid crystal display (LCD) backlight is derived from a laser source where the laser is used not for its coherence properties but for its ability to have close control on its direction. This allows light exiting the LCD to be directed to the left and right eyes of several viewers who can move freely in both the X and Z directions. Light directions are determined by a spatial light modulator (SLM) that is controlled by a multiuser head tracker. This paper is principally concerned with the SLM and the Gabor superlens screen that is used to provide the angular magnification required to give a sufficiently wide viewing field

Decriminalization of abortion and gender perspective

The initiatives that promote the decriminalization of abortion have shown the lack of clarity and precision that exists around some terms used by those who promote it. This is the case of the use of the term "gender perspective". It is common to find the term gender in the various provisions relating to the protection of the "rights of women" with terms like "gender discrimination", "gender violence", "gender equity" among others. But, what is the real meaning of gender perspective? Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to distinguish between gender perspective and gender ideology, and determine which of these concepts is connected to the request for abortion. Also, make a brief analysis of the ways in which women's movements have begun the search for equality between men and women. Instrumento Auxiliador Da Aprendizagem: Uma Proposta Investigativa

Resumo: Este texto tem como intuito discutir a proposta de investigação decorrente dos desdobramentos observados na tese de doutorado de Miranda (2014) que desenvolveu um Experimento Didático Formativo na base da Teoria do Ensino Desenvolvimental de Vasili V. Davídov. O experimento verificou como se dá a formação, apropriação e generalização de conceitos, por parte dos alunos no aprendizado da modalidade esportiva voleibol e também a influência da proposta de auto-avaliação dinâmica no grupo pesquisado. Os sujeitos voluntários para a pesquisa foram jovens com idades de 12 e 13 anos estudantes da rede pública estadual do município de Trindade-GO. Em decorrência das abstrações processadas pelo pesquisador no campo investigativo foi encaminhada uma análise para a sistematização de um instrumento auxiliador da aprendizagem em contexto formativo. Este estudo de cunho histórico-cultural da atividade vem aflorar uma questão intrigante, quer seja a possibilidade de sistematização de um instrumento capaz de auxiliar na verificação de como o aluno pode aprender com mais facilidade e, portanto, auxiliando os professores e alunos no planejamento e desenvolvimento das atividades de ensino. Espera-se com a discussão desta temática conduzir trabalhos no sentido de organizar instrumentos pedagógico-didáticos que sejam facilitadores do trabalho educacional no campo prático.

Breves consideraciones sobre: Fiebre Hemorrágica Venezolana (arenavirosis).

Resumen: Teniendo en cuenta el cumplimiento de misiones en la hermana República Bolivariana de Venezuela  y tomando en consideración mi experiencia laboral en el Estado de Portuguesa en  el 2012, presento estas breves consideraciones con el deseo que sean de utilidad a los facultativos que enfrenten estas situaciones. FIEBRE HEMORRÁGICA VENEZOLANA (F.H.V). Seguridad biológica en la F.H.V.

Resumen: Teniendo en cuenta el cumplimiento de misiones en la hermana República Bolivariana de Venezuela,  y tomando en consideración mi experiencia laboral en el Estado de Portuguesa en 2012, presento estas breves consideraciones acerca de la seguridad biológica en relación con la F.H.V., con el deseo que sean de utilidad a los facultativos que enfrenten estas situaciones. Se realiza revisión bibliográfica actualizada.Palabras claves: fiebre hemorrágica, normas de seguridad, educación sanitaria.Abstract: According to medical missions developed in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and taking into account mi own professional experience in the estate of Portuguesa during 2012, I present these brief considerations respect to biological safety procedures regarding HFV, hoping that could be useful to medical doctors than confront the illness on Hemorrhagic Fever of Venezuela.
