Cornering variants of Georgi-Machacek model using Higgs precision data
We show that in the absence of trilinear terms in the scalar potential of
Georgi-Machacek model, heavy charged scalars do not necessarily decouple from
the decay amplitude. In such scenarios, measurement of
the Higgs to diphoton signal strength can place stringent constraints in the
parameter space. Using the projected precisions at the High Luminosity LHC
(HL-LHC) and the ILC, we find that the upper bound on the triplet vacuum
expectation value can be as low as 10 GeV. We also found that when combined
with the theoretical constraints from perturbative unitarity and stability,
such variants may be ruled out altogether.Comment: 9 pages, 4 captioned figures. Accepted for publication in Phys. Rev.
State Transitions and Decoherence in the Avian Compass
The radical pair model has been successful in explaining behavioral
characteristics of the geomagnetic compass believed to underlie the navigation
capability of certain avian species. In this study, the spin dynamics of the
radical pair model and decoherence therein are interpreted from a microscopic
state transition point of view. This helps to elucidate the interplay between
the hyperfine and Zeeman interactions that enables the avian compass, and the
distinctive effects of nuclear and environmental decoherence on it. Using a
quantum information theoretic quantifier of coherence, we find that nuclear
decoherence induces new structure in the spin dynamics without materially
affecting the compass action; environmental decoherence, on the other hand,
completely disrupts it.Comment: 6 pages, 6 figure
A New 22 nm ULPLS Architecture to Detect 70 mV Minimum Input, Suitable for IOT Applications
Modern applications such as energy harvesting, signal monitoring in
bio-medical sensing, portable point of care devices, etc. which involve state
of the art mixed signal subsystems require robust ultra low power operation.
Here in this work, a novel ultra low power level shifter (ULPLS) is proposed
for sensing voltage signals in sub-threshold region. The proposed architecture
is implemented in 22 nm technology using a dual power supply. The high and low
supply voltages (VddH & VddL) are set as 0.8 V and 0.4 V respectively. The key
design features of ULPLS include a current limiting PMOS diode, a voltage
divider, and an enhanced pull up network. The ULPLS exhibits a low power
dissipation of ~ 22.84 nW with a minimum ~ 70 mV detection of input signal. The
robustness of the design has been examined via worst case and Monte Carlo
analyses
PRELIMINARY PHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING AND EVALUATION OF ANALGESIC AND MUSCLE RELAXANT ACTIVITY OF THE ETHANOLIC EXTRACT OF THE LEAVES OF MIRABILIS JALAPA
Objective: The aim and objectives of the present work is to determine pharmacological activity upon ethnopharmacological survey. The present study deals with phytochemical screening and analgesic as well as muscle relaxant activity of leaves of Mirabilis jalapa. Methods: The present study is aimed at phytochemical screening and evaluating the analgesic and muscle relaxant activities of ethanolic leaf extract of Mirabilis jalapa by using hot plate method and rota rod method respectively [1, 2]. The Phytochemical screening of the extract was done according to the standard procedures to reveal the presence of the active constituents like Alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, glycosides, tannins, saponins, steroids, carbohydrates etc [3-5].Results: The analgesic and muscle relaxant activity study were dose dependent. The EEMJ extracts (100 mg/kg, 200 mg/kg, 500 mg/kg) and the standard drug Diclofenac sodium (25 mg/kg) shows significant increase in the reaction time when compared with control at 30 min, 60 min, 90 min and 120 min and the effect of standard was found to be highest during the study. Another study was designed to evaluate the skeletal muscle relaxant properties of ethanolic extract of leaves of Mirabilis jalapa. Linn by taking the EEMJ extracts (100 mg/kg, 200 mg/kg, 500 mg/kg) and standard drug Lorzepam (10 mg/kg). Both the extracts and standard drug show decrease in the fall of time in a dose dependent manner when compared with control at 15 min, 30 min, 45 min respectively. Conclusion: Therefore, from the above study it is revealed that Mirabilis jalapa showing better pharmacological activities (Analgesic and Muscle relaxant) in dose dependent manner
Homological dimensions of Burch ideals, submodules and quotients
The notion of Burch ideals and Burch submodules were introduced (and studied)
by Dao-Kobayashi-Takahashi in 2020 and Dey-Kobayashi in 2022 respectively. The
aim of this article is to characterize various local rings in terms of
homological invariants of Burch ideals, Burch submodules, or that of the
corresponding quotients. Specific applications of our results include the
following: Let be a commutative Noetherian local ring. Let
be an integrally closed ideal of such that , or
for some submodule of a finitely generated
-module such that either or is free. It is
shown that: (1) has maximal projective resp., injective complexity
and curvature. (2) is Gorenstein if and only if for
any three consecutive values of . (3) is
CM (Cohen-Macaulay) if and only if CM- is finite.Comment: 14 pages, Journal of Pure and Applied Algebra (to appear), Revised

PRELIMINARY PHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING AND EVALUATION OF MUSCLE RELAXANT ACTIVITY OF ETHANOLIC EXTRACT OF RHIZOME OF ZINGIBEROFFICINALE
Objective: The aim of this study to investigate the Preliminary Phytochemical Screening and evaluation of Muscle relaxant activity of ethanolic extract of Zingiberofficinale (EEZO) belonging to the family Zingiberaceae using Swiss albino mice in comparison with that of standard drug (Lorazepam). Methods: The phytochemical screening of the EEZO was done as per the standard methods. Then the extract was evaluated for its muscle relaxant activity compared with Control which is Normal saline (0.9% NaCl solution) at a dose of 10 ml/kg and standard drug Lorazepam at a dose of 10 mg/kg p. o by using Rota-rod apparatus. Twenty mice were taken of either sex and are divided into four groups and each group contains five animals. The first group was considered as control, the second group considered as standard and the third and fourth group received extracts (EEZO) at a dose of 100 mg/kg and 200 mg/kg p. o respectively. All the preparations were administered orally. Results: The Preliminary Phytochemical screening of Ethanolic plant extract of Zingiberofficinale showed the presence of alkaloids, Carbohydrates, phlobotannins, flavonoids, glycosides, saponins, tannin and terpenoids and absence of steroids. The two doses of EEZO i.e. 100 mg/kg (7.8±0.421 sec) and 200 mg/kg (3.07±0.385) significantly reduced the fall of time in the Rota-rod apparatus as compared to control (48.67±1.112) with p value<0.0001. The result is quite satisfying when compared with the standard drug i.e. 10 mg/kg p. o. (6.2±0.331).Conclusion: The result of the given study demonstrated that the ethanolic extract of Zingiber officinale is having Dose Dependent Muscle Relaxant activity
