In this review destined for education of specialists in the field are presented methods used in the laboratory diagnosis of various staphylococcal infections. The authors present in detail the methods of sampling, how the samples are transportated, and all laboratory tests, from which, some are done without too much difficulty, even in field conditions, focusing on molecular biology tests. Very important are the two chapters in which are discussed the differentiations between staphylococcus and other bacteria families, but also the antibiotic resistance of the staphilococcuci, a problem of modern medicine current year

Staphylococcus genus - Small practical guide (in Romanian)

In this review destined for education of specialists in the field is presented a bacterial genus important for human and animal health. The authors try to present, in two chapters and in a didactical way, all about Staphylococcus genus, like: taxonomy, morphology, and structure, coloration, culture and cultural characteristics, biochemical properties and antigenic structure, genetics and the antibiotic resistance, ecology and environmental factors, pathogenicity [extracellular enzymes and staphylococcal toxins]. The second chapter is dedicated to the description of natural infections with staphylococci and their implications in humans and animals [large and small ruminants, pigs, equines, rabbits, dogs, cats and birds], the last part of the chapter being devoted to the Staphylococcal food toxicity description

An alternative approach to cat’s epilepsy treatment – Case report

Due to her owner and one veterinarian love and effort, she well passed through many seizures and a non-regenerative anemia episode and she survived for five years from the onset of the disease.
