Measuring the muon's anomalous magnetic moment to 0.14 ppm
The anomalous magnetic moment (g-2) of the muon was measured with a precision
of 0.54 ppm in Experiment 821 at Brookhaven National Laboratory. A difference
of 3.2 standard deviations between this experimental value and the prediction
of the Standard Model has persisted since 2004; in spite of considerable
experimental and theoretical effort, there is no consistent explanation for
this difference. This comparison hints at physics beyond the Standard Model,
but it also imposes strong constraints on those possibilities, which include
supersymmetry and extra dimensions. The collaboration is preparing to relocate
the experiment to Fermilab to continue towards a proposed precision of 0.14
ppm. This will require 20 times more recorded decays than in the previous
measurement, with corresponding improvements in the systematic uncertainties.
We describe the theoretical developments and the experimental upgrades that

Pada awal abad ke-20, Surabaya telah berkembang menjadi kota modern di mana pengembangan pusat industri dan komersial. Kemajuan ini tidak terlepas dari arah politik negara yang dikelola Etis Hindia Belanda tahun 1900-an ditandai dengan kemajuan dalam berbagai sektor kehidupan. Seiring dengan pesatnya pertumbuhan industri dan meningkatnya jumlah penduduk yang hidup di Eropa Surabaya, pemerintah Hindia Belanda menyediakan fasilitas untuk menampilkan hasil industri dan menyediakan sarana promosi bagi perusahaan yang ingin memperkenalkan produk mereka. Produksi pameran yang diselenggarakan pemerintah disebut Jaarmarkt. Jaarmarkt juga bertujuan untuk mencari keuntungan finansial melalui media pemerintah menunjukkan pameran yang diadakan setiap tahun sekali. Permasalahan yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah apa latar belakang Jaarmarkt pemerintah terorganisir Hindia Belanda. Jenis penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah studi sejarah dengan menggunakan metode historis. Metode sejarah meliputi tahap heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran informasi mengenai Jaarmarkt alasan mulai dari Hindia Jaarmarkt pemerintah terorganisir Belanda, produk industri dan hiburan yang ditampilkan dalam Jaarmarkt, serta pengelolaan Jaarmarkt awal berdiri diselenggarakan oleh pemerintah dengan manajemen birokrasi sendiri. A crescente procura de territórios rurais para fins turístico-recreativos, com especial incidência nas áreas de valor paisagístico mais elevado, requer a necessidade de compatibilizar a fruição dessas áreas com a preservação e conservação dos valores naturais. Surge, assim, a necessidade de desenvolver uma metodologia de gestão do território apoiada em ferramentas de análise espacial multicritério. Para a determinação das áreas com potencial para a prática das atividades de recreio ativo, recorreu-se à pesquisa de informação, biofísica e socioeconómica, que permitiu a caracterização do território e da sua utilização por parte dos diferentes stakeholders. Por outro lado, foi analisada informação sobre as especificidades das diferentes modalidades de recreio ativo com o objetivo de identificar as condicionantes e potencialidades para a sua prática. A identificação das áreas com aptidão para o recreio, bem como das condicionantes, foi efetuada com base na integração de um conjunto de fatores com recurso ao programa ArcGIS. Os fatores foram classificados em três níveis de aptidão, calculados mediante a aplicação de um método de análise espacial multicritério - o Processo Analítico Hierárquico (AHP). Pengaruh Emulgator Buah Lerak (Sapindus Rarak) dengan Emulsi Air dan Solar sebagai Bahan Bakar Motor Diesel Ramah Lingkungan
This research is aimed at finding out the effect of emulsion of water and diesel fuelwith lerak emulsifier on the gas emission of diesel fuel and its effect on the power producedby the diesel motor.The steps involved in the research are extracting lerak and blending the emulsion ofwater and diesel fuel by using lerak extract emulsifier. To test the sample of lerak extractmethods used were IKU/5.4/TK-02 for Viscosity Kinematic at 30°C, IKU/5.4/TK-03 for FlashPoint PM.CC, IKU/5.4/TK-04 for Pour Point, ASTM 130 for Copperstrip Corosion at 100°C, (3hrs),ASTM 473 for Sediment test, dan ASTM D 95 for Water Content.The reasearch result showed that the lerak extract was made successfully by usingethanol solvent. However, the process of blending the lerak emulsifier and water as well asdiesel fuel was not successful yet. They were not blended perfectly yet though the result ofthe blending process had shown the different contents of diesel fuel

Strategi Komunikasi Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (Dlh) dalam Mengimplementasikan Program Green City di Kota Teluk Kuantan Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi
Green city is a program issued by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in 2007. This program is for local governments to implement environmentally sound development. Kuantan Singingi regency is one of the regencies that try to apply Green City concept, this program is coordinated by the Environment Agency (DLH). The purpose of this program is to realize Kuansing with the concept of Environment. This program involves many parties, namely the public, private parties, offices, and companies in Kuansing. Many implementations have been done to realize this green city, one of which is planting tree seeds on the protocol road. The purpose of this research is to know communicator strategy in implementing green city, audience strategy, message strategy and media USAge in implementing green city program.This research uses qualitative research method. Informant of this research is 5 people consisting of 2 people from Environmental Office of Kuantan regency singingi and 3 people of society which is chosen by purposive. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. Data validity technique used in this research is triangulation and extension of participation.The result of the research shows that the communicator strategy of Environmental Office is to involve people who are experts and experienced in environment such as Environmental Science Lecturer and Environmental Expert. In addition, it also involves people who have influence on the community such as Village Heads, Adat Stakeholders and Religious Leaders. Strategy Determination of the audience by the Office of the Environment is to choose the nearest audience from downtown, the city of Kuantan Bay and surrounding areas. Consists of the general public, Office and School and Company. The Message Strategy by the Office of the Environment is by using a variety of messages, messages conveyed in seminars, training, banners, advertisements. The message in general is to realize the concept of green city kuansing.
