Importance of HRIS: A Critical Study on Service and Auto Sector
A HRIS system is widely known as a human resource information system or human resource management system (HRMS) which is basically an intersection majorly of human resources and information technology along a HR software solution. The advantage of such systems is they permit core HR activities that help to process theinformation electronically. Human Resource Information System has a edge over other systems as it integrates the various parts of core human resource, including labor productivity, payroll and benefit management into a small capital intensive system used to manage and supervise activities. The HRI system have an advantage of effectively planning, controlling and managing the HR costs in order to achieve improved quality and efficiency in HR decision making along with improving the managerial and employee effectiveness and productivity. HRI System is widely used in service sector for the employees of the organization including the Man, Material, Machinery and Management. Moreover, HRI systems in auto sector have a wide advantage including development of core competencies in the workforce along with improving the comprehensive organizational climate of Human Resource systems and sub systems. Hence the human resource management System in such sectors is a software solution that provides online result for the data record, data information and data tracking demands of the Human Resources, management, accounting and payroll functions within a business
Genetic Analysis in Muskmelon (Cucumis melo L.)
Fifty genotypes of muskmelon (Cucumis melo L.) were evaluated for variability, correlation, path analysis and divergence for yield and its contributing characters. Analysis of variance showed significant variation for all the characters, indicating presence of sufficient variability in the material studied. Genotypic correlations were higher than those of their respective phenotypic correlation coefficients in majority of the cases suggesting, that, genotypic correlations were stronger, reliable and free from environmental influences. Path analysis based on genotypic association revealed that number of fruits per plant and moisture percentage was the main yieldattributing characters in fruit yield of muskmelon. Total soluble solids exhibited positive direct effect on fruit yield per plant. Thus, number of fruits per plant, moisture percentage and total soluble solids may be given more weightage for an effective selection to improve fruit yield in muskmelon. On the basis of relative magnitude of D2 values, all the genotypes were grouped in seven clusters. Maximum genetic distance was observed between clusters II and V, while clusters III and VII displayed the lowest degree of divergence. Total soluble sugars followed by total soluble solids and fruit yield per plant contributed the most towards divergence
Effect of fillers and fire retardant compounds on hydroxy terminated polybutadiene based insulators
A series of polyurethane compositions have been formulated using hydroxy-terminated polybutadiene as polymeric binder and carbon black as a major filler. Various binder-to-filler ratios of the formulations were evaluated to get calendered sheets. The formulations have been characterised for pot-life and rollability and the calendered sheets for mechanical and thermal properties, bUm rate, glass transition temperature, shore hardness and density . The different fillers tried were varieties of carbon black as a major filler; metal oxides, silicates and organic compounds; and fire retardants, such as zinc borate, sodium metaborate, ammonium dihydrogen phosphate and antimony trioxide. The structure and morphology of the fillers have been correlated with the properties. The optimised composition has been evaluated in an end-burning motor, as an insulator for case-bonded application, using a typical composite propellant. The results of interface bonding between the propellant and the insulator have also been presented
Ethylene-propylene Diene Rubber as a Futuristic Elastomer for Insulation of Solid Rocket Motors
The study carried out so far on the application of ethylene-propylene diene rubber (EPDM)in the field of insulation of case bonded solid rocket motors has been reviewed. The variousstudies by the authors (unpublished work) have also been reported. All these findings bring outthe excellent potential of EPDM as insulator in view of its ageing resistance, low-temperatureflexibility, low erosion rate, and low specific gravity
Synergistic Hypergolic Ignition of Amino End Group in Monomers and Polymers
A few monomers, oligomers and polymers with amino end groups have been discovered to undergo synergistic ignition with red fuming nitric acid (RFNA) when mixed with large quantities of magnesium powder. Aluminium powder under similar conditions does not ignite the mixture while powders of Zn, Co and Cu cause the ignition. Amongst the polymers used in the experiment commercially available nylon 6 is the most important which may be used as a binder for rocket propellant fuel grains, hypergolic with RFNA. Degree of polymerisation or the chain length of the polymers does not drastically affect the synergistic ignition of the polymer mixture with magnesium powder but high molecular weight and fully aromatised polymers like Kevlar and Nomex fail to ignite under similar conditions. Based upon the earlier work of the authors, explanations for the phenomena oberved have been provided in terms of creation of hot spots leading to ignition at the amino end groups
Filled Ethylene-propylene Diene Terpolymer Elastomer as ThermalInsulator for Case-bonded Solid Rocket Motors
Ethylene-propylene diene terpolymer (EPDM)-based insulation system is being globallyused for case-bonded solid rocket motors. A study was undertaken using EPDM as base polymer, blended with hypalon and liquid EPDM and filled with fibrous and non-fibrous fillers. Theseformulations were evaluated as rocket motor insulation system. The basic objective of the studywas to develop an insulation system based on EPDM for case-bonded applications. A series ofrocket motor insulator compositions based on EPDM, filled with particulate and fibrous fillerslike precipitated silica, fumed silica, aramid, and carbon fibres have been studied for mechanical, rheological, thermal, and interface properties. Compositions based on particulate fillers wereoptimised for the filler content. Comparatively, fumed silica was found to be superior as fillerin terms of mechanical and interface properties. Addition of fibrous filler (5 parts) improved thepeel strength, and reduced the thermal conductivity and erosion rate. All the compositions wereevaluated for sulphur and peroxide curing. Superior mechanical properties were achieved forsulphur-cured products, whereas peroxide-cured products exhibited an excellent ageing resistance.Rocket motors were insulated with optimised composition and propellant cast, and the motorswere evaluated by conducting static test in end-burning mode.Defence Science Journal, 2008, 58(1), pp.94-102, DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.14429/dsj.58.162
Video Calling Over Wi-Fi Network using Android Phones
The intent of the paper is to develop a system that would perform video call over Wi-Fi network free of cost. Information of the caller or receiver is stored in database. For storing the information of caller and receiver we have a unique key called IMEI number i.e. International Mobile Equipment Identity. Before making a video call the user is supposed to have android mobile phone with video calling Wi-Fi application i.e. our app must be installed on it. After installing app on the user’s mobile, user will register himself on our server. Registration task will be handled by connection manager and information of each user is stored in data-base. Once user gets registered, User will be shown the list of online users so that user will able to communicate with the other user by making a call or Receiving a call. Keywords: IMEI, Android, Wi-Fi
