ASSESSING DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION IN THE MISSIONS OF STATE ARCHIVES IN THE UNITED STATES
This study is an in-depth content analysis of state archives’ mission statements. The sample units are made up of text collected from state archives websites from the 50 states as well as text collected from outreach to the archival centers. The analysis includes coding of mission statements, collection statements, or institutional goal statements to see to what extent they include language about diversity, access, and other related themes.
