    The management of time is a fundamental issue to the job performance of the manager. Personal effectiveness at work is primarily a function of the individual's management of his or her time. Time management is the key to improve the use of this scarce resource and there are several ways (techniques) by wich a manager may become more efficient at work. Despite the growing interest in time management this should not be viewed in isolation from leadership, delegation ("an open-door policy") , ensuring effective processes of communication.styles of time management, management by objectives, mind mapping, manager's checklist, spreadsheets, gold rules of time management.

    This article is a review of both the functions and roles played by ethics committees in hospital establishments,and respectively of the challenges they are confronted with, in the general context of activities concerned withorganizational ethics. Furthermore, we analyse international good practices, such as they intervene in the organizationof ethical programs, and also the place the committees take up within these programs. Our qualitative research isbased on the analysis of the websites of 144 hospitals from Romania, classified within the first three competence levels,and aims at highlighting the fact that ethics committees do not have sufficient visibility, which is certainly notbeneficial to patients. In this context, our research demonstrates that there is plenty space for improvement in quality ofcare based on ethics program and its tools and the experience of other countries could serve as a viable guide

    <span lang="EN-GB">The evolution of the Internet as a distribution channel is apparent in Romania as the number of Internet users and card holders increases. This paper discusses the results of questionnaire and interview based research on the perceptions of 65 managers’ of </span><span lang="EN-US">"</span><span lang="EN-GB">brick and mortar</span><span lang="EN-US">"</span><span lang="EN-GB"> as opposed to virtual travel agencies’ of the so-called phenomenon of</span><span lang="EN-US">"</span><span lang="EN-GB">disintermediation</span><span lang="EN-US">"</span><span lang="EN-GB"> and its expansion or, in other words, the competitive impact of online bookings on customer loyalty and business and communication strategies used to protect themselves from its consequences. In spite of the increase by 10% of the use of Internet each year, more than half of the respondents are convinced that they can adapt their services, products and operations to retain their loyal customers.</span
