Ministry Resource Center: Access Through A Database-driven Website
The new Ministry Resource Center (MRC) of Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary is a premiere collection of practical resources for all aspects of congregational ministry. To help MRC patrons locate appropriate resources, the College and Seminary s Hekman Library has created a website that combines information from manually created static webpages and bibliographic data imported from the Library s online catalog. The result is one website that gathers together, and provides access to, the entire MRC collection
An invisible wall : the relationships between congregational and seminary libraries in the United States
Theological (seminary) and congregational libraries in the Christian and Jewish religious traditions have coexisted in some fashion since their beginnings; however, little research exists regarding the relationship between these related-but-distinct library types. This essay explores the relationship between these types of libraries through a survey of their literatures and available statistics, considering their histories and contexts within the broader religious and library worlds, as well as their current relationship in light of their diverse religious institutions. The roles of these libraries will be examined regarding religious, theological, and information literacies as well as exploring their staffs, their staff's education, funding, library hours, their goals, objectives, and outcomes, particularly regarding the changing landscape of religious and theological education for both clergy and laypeople. It concludes with future possibilities in the religious library world in a congregational landscape that often cannot afford full-time, traditionally-theologically-educated clergy, much less paid congregational librarians

Lyrics in Congregational Song: A Biblical and Historical Survey
Is there a standard as to what constitutes biblical, God-honoring congregational song lyrics? In this paper, I will seek to address this question through a review of relevant biblical principles and positions of prominent leaders throughout church history. The Bible provides a language of worship in the Psalms and includes some information regarding singing in the New Testament. Biblical principles have been applied throughout the centuries by various church fathers. The synthesis of biblical principles and historical contributions will produce a set of guidelines by which congregational song lyrics may be evaluated for the purpose of contextual application in modern services

Normative theological, pedagogical, and psychological are the approaches used in this research. The primary data sources come from observations and interviews with teachers and students. In comparison, secondary data comes from library data and school documents. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observation, and documentation. This study found that fiqh teachers used various strategies to implement congregational prayer practices at MTs Babussalam Tebo Jambi, such as habituation strategies, motivation, example, discipline enforcement, and punishment application. The supporting factors are a religious school environment, teacher support and motivation, school residents who are predominantly Muslim, and the availability of facilities and infrastructure. In comparison, the inhibiting factors are students' need for self-awareness about the obligation to pray, the lack of supporting infrastructure such as mukena, the lack of awareness of teachers controlling students, and the lack of attention from parents.
