THE HEADIC ISSUE OF DIGITAL REVOLUTION: AN EMERGENT CHALLENGE FOR THE FUTURE OF JOBS
The article goes through the different stages of human at work and it current practices then focuses on the digital revolution coming on. It explores the effects on jobs in the transport and banking sectors. What are the countries that are well prepared for that revolution? Are Africa and Burkina ready for the digital transformation? The lack of infrastructure is severe in some countries. The main keys are to strengthen the educations systems, to build a solid lifelong system and the use the tools of change management. The findings show that countries have an important role to play but also international organizations like ILO, UNESCO, OCED, EU, and AU.

PRACTICE OF BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE BY SMEs IN BURKINA FASO
The integration of information technologies in business management is essential in the context of the globalization of trade and competition. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Burkina Faso do not escape this constraint with a view to improving productivity. Through an exploratory approach, the objective is to provide a better understanding of the appropriation of Business Intelligence by SMEs in Burkina Faso. Thanks to a mixed, quantitative and qualitative method, sixty SMEs were surveyed and three resource people were interviewed from February to April 2021. The descriptive statistics and the analysis grid led to the results according to which the practice of BI by SMEs in Burkina Faso is at an elementary level, despite its relevance for the organizational performance of SMEs. It should be noted that several myths are to be defied and to be able to adapt BI to the needs and realities of SMEs in Burkina Faso for its popularization.

Constructed wetland technology for the treatment and reuse of urban household greywater under conditions of Africa's Sahel region
Three pilot systems of a constructed wetland were assessed to advance the urban reuse of greywater for household gardening in areas of the world representative of Africa's Sahel (one unplanted and two planted with local species, namely Andropogon gayanus and Chrysopogon zizanioides). Principal component analysis showed planted systems provided higher removal efficiencies than the unplanted system and A. gayanus performed better for treating most water quality parameters. As expected, removal efficiencies for suspended solids (SS) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) were greater than 90% in all filters. The removal of five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5) was, however, significantly greater in the filter planted with A. gayanus than in the unplanted control. For plant-beneficial parameters such as nutrients (NO3â, NO2â, NH4+, and PO43â), the removal in the planted filters was significantly higher than in the unplanted filter (>90% versus 73%â78%). The reduction of fecal coliforms was significantly greater in the two planted systems and exceeded 2.5 log10 removal. Analysis of the microbial water quality characteristics showed the concentration of fecal microbial indicators would achieve WHO guidelines for restricted irrigation with retention of some embedded nutrients, thus reducing pressures on areas experiencing climate variability, water scarcity, and land degradation.
HIGHLIGHTS
Planted filters produced treated greywater compliant with the WHO reuse guidelines for restricted irrigation.;
Reduction of fecal coliforms was highest in the two planted systems, exceeding 2.5 log10 removal.;
Filter planted with A. gayanus exhibited higher removal efficiencies of organic matter than the filter planted with C. zizanioides.;
A. gayanus performed better than C. zizanioides for most water quality effluent parameters.
Cost-effectiveness of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination in Burkina Faso: a modelling study
Abstract Background Africa has some of the highest cervical cancer incidence and mortality rates globally. Burkina Faso launched a human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination programme for 9-year-old girls in 2022 with support from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance (Gavi). An economic evaluation of HPV vaccination is required to help sustain investment and inform decisions about optimal HPV vaccine choices. Methods We used a proportionate outcomes static cohort model to evaluate the potential impact and cost-effectiveness of HPV vaccination for 9-year-old girls over a ten-year period (2022â2031) in Burkina Faso. The primary outcome measure was the cost (2022 US 2.9, 4.1, 4.4 and 19.8Â million for CECOLINÂź, GARDASIL-4Âź, CERVARIXÂź and GARDASIL-9Âź, respectively. A single dose strategy reduced costs and improved cost-effectiveness by more than half. Conclusion HPV vaccination is cost-effective in Burkina Faso from a limited societal perspective. A single dose strategy and/or alternative Gavi-supported HPV vaccines could further improve cost-effectiveness
Development of a Constructed Wetland for Greywater Treatment for Reuse in Arid Regions: Case Study in Rural Burkina Faso
This study implemented and assessed, over a period of four weeks, a full-scale constructed wetland designed to collect and treat the greywater for a rural household located in an arid environment typical of Africaâs Sahel region. The system was constructed from local materials and consisted of a shower room, a receiving basin, a pre-treatment filter, and a subsurface horizontal flow wetland planted with Chrysopogon zizanioides. Results showed the overall removal of organic matter was greater than 90%, and orthophosphate and ammonium were reduced by 73% and 60%, respectively, allowing for the treated water to retain some embedded nutrients. The removal efficiency of fecal bacteria varied from 3.41 (enterococci) to 4.19 (fecal coliforms) log10 units which meets World Health Organization Guidelines for restricted irrigation. Our assessment of the full-scale household constructed wetland technology adds to the relatively low number of constructed wetland studies conducted outside a laboratory setting. Furthermore, it supports efforts to promote safe reuse of an underutilized resource at the rural household level in Sub-Saharan Africa and other arid regions in the developing world, supporting prospects for using treated greywater for agricultural reuse in regions that experience water scarcity, climate variability, and land degradation
