Advantages of a Digital Model for Flight Test Instrumentation

The DoD's new Digital Transformation initiatives are calling for shortened system development times and lower system life cycle costs. Additionally, the latest 5th and 6th generation avionics systems are employing increasingly complex communications networks. Utilizing digital twins for components of the flight test instrumentation and data acquisition suite can provide many advantages to support the goal of lower system life cycle costs and faster development times.
