    A Review of Progress Towards Simulation of Arc Quenching in Lightning Protection Devices Based on Multi Chamber Systems

    Two distinct modes of follow current suppression were observed in multi-chamber systems (MCS) under lightning overvoltage: Zero Quenching (ZQ) and Impulse Quenching (IQ). Sufficiently lower erosion of electrodes and evaporation of discharge chamber walls makes the IQ more preferable as a mechanism of arc quenching. Since experimental search for best MCS design is both difficult and expensive numerical modeling is considered as a prospective method for geometry optimization. Several steps were made towards development of efficient arc model. This article highlights most important results of arc quenching simulation and current status of arc model development

    Institutional tool of financial policy : contractual policy

    Under the market conditions, the most important role in economic subject belongs to the financial aspect – therefore, effective decisions at the micro-level are predetermined by financial policy, as realization of the strategy in the tactics of finances management is not possible if there’s none. Finances of economic subject are a component of the financial system of the Russian Federation. Together with the state financial policy, which is aimed at overcoming of consequences of the global financial crisis, there is financial policy of separate economic subjects and corporate structures. For the purpose of study of financial policy, the authors deem it expedient to clarify the definition of “policy”. According to M. Weber, policy is “striving for participation in authority or influencing the distribution of authority, be it between states or within a state between groups of people”.peer-reviewe

    This article is devoted to a development of a mathematical model of plasma processes in a discharge chamber of a multi-chamber arrester operating under reduced pressure. The results obtained using this model will make it possible to develop recommendations on modifying the design of multi-chamber arresters for operation in conditions of mountain areas.A composition, thermodynamic and transport properties of plasma for the two-temperature model were calculated on the basis of the data on the materials of the discharge chamber and on the basis of the experiments performed earlier.The paper presents the results of calculations i.e. distributions of discharge voltage and electrical conductivity on time at various pressures.     Modification of strength criteria and plasticity’s conditions in calculation of pavements

    The article dwells upon the impact of accumulative damages on strength and placticity of materials. The authors have attempted to modify the original criteria of strength and plasticity’s conditions, based on a conventional method of accounting this phenomenon. This method consists in indroduction of measures of damage’s theory, to which the y continuity of L.M. Kachanov and w damage of Y.N. Rabotnov are traditionally refered in the limiting state equation. One of these measures is contained in a function, which is a multiplier to a stress tensor, that allows to convert the tensor of the undamaged solid into the stress tensor of the damaged solid. There are considered opportunities of such modification, both for simple criteria of Drucker - Prager, Lade-Dunkan, Mattsuoka-Nakai, Mohr-Coulomb and modern multi-surface criteria for the calculation of strength and shear strength, respectively

    The article introduces the program application for seeking binary signals of specified bit length that have specified correlative properties. The application seeks these codes using parallel (multithreaded) permutation of the possible values from all of the range specified by a bit length. The article contains the results of researches of speed parameters of the permutator working in single–threaded and multithreaded modes. Analysis was made for multithreaded specific conditions of speed reductions. The researches are made according to the priority national project "Education" in the centre of high performance computations of the Far Eastern National Technical University.
