Unifying and Merging Well-trained Deep Neural Networks for Inference Stage

We propose a novel method to merge convolutional neural-nets for the inference stage. Given two well-trained networks that may have different architectures that handle different tasks, our method aligns the layers of the original networks and merges them into a unified model by sharing the representative codes of weights. The shared weights are further re-trained to fine-tune the performance of the merged model. The proposed method effectively produces a compact model that may run original tasks simultaneously on resource-limited devices. As it preserves the general architectures and leverages the co-used weights of well-trained networks, a substantial training overhead can be reduced to shorten the system development time. Experimental results demonstrate a satisfactory performance and validate the effectiveness of the method.Comment: To appear in the 27th International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence and the 23rd European Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2018. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE BARBELL TRAJECTORIES OF SNATCH AND BCH ANGLES

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the barbell trajectories of snatch and the angle between the projection vector of 7th cervical spinous process (C7) to barbell and the projection vector of C7 to hip joint in the sagittal plane (BCH angles) in different events. The ten weightlifters were divided into two groups according to their barbell trajectories (BT was categorized into the backward barbell trajectories, and the FT was forward). The results show that the BCH angles at PB and MF in BT are smaller than FT. The weightlifers with the backward trajectories usually make better performances. After analysis, we find out that the backward trajectories would reduce the BCH angles. The present study suggests that catching the bar with backward trajectories and smaller BCH angles at PB and MF are perhaps a better technique for snatch

    Towards Successful Cloud Ordering Service

Background: The rise of cloud services has led to a drastic growth of e-commerce and a greater investment in development of new cloud services systems by related industries. For SaaS developers, it is important to understand customer needs and make use of available resources at as early as the system design and development stage. Objectives: This study integrates E-commerce Systems (ECS) Success model and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) into empirical research of the critical factors for cloud ordering system success. Methods/Approach: A survey research is conducted to collect data on customer perceptions of the importance and performance of each attribute of the particular cloud ordering service. The sample is further divided according to the degree of use of online shopping into high-usage users and low-usage users in order to explore their views regarding the system and generate adequate coping strategies. Results: Developers of online ordering systems can refer to the important factors obtained in this study when planning strategies of product/service improvement. Conclusions: The approach proposed in this study can also be applied to evaluation of other kinds of cloud services systems

Decay Constants of Pseudoscalar DD-mesons in Lattice QCD with Domain-Wall Fermion

We present the first study of the masses and decay constants of the pseudoscalar D D mesons in two flavors lattice QCD with domain-wall fermion. The gauge ensembles are generated on the 243×4824^3 \times 48 lattice with the extent Ns=16 N_s = 16 in the fifth dimension, and the plaquette gauge action at β=6.10 \beta = 6.10 , for three sea-quark masses with corresponding pion masses in the range 260475260-475 MeV. We compute the point-to-point quark propagators, and measure the time-correlation functions of the pseudoscalar and vector mesons. The inverse lattice spacing is determined by the Wilson flow, while the strange and the charm quark masses by the masses of the vector mesons ϕ(1020) \phi(1020) and J/ψ(3097) J/\psi(3097) respectively. Using heavy meson chiral perturbation theory (HMChPT) to extrapolate to the physical pion mass, we obtain fD=202.3(2.2)(2.6) f_D = 202.3(2.2)(2.6) MeV and fDs=258.7(1.1)(2.9) f_{D_s} = 258.7(1.1)(2.9) MeV.Comment: 15 pages, 3 figures. v2: the statistics of ensemble (A) with m_sea = 0.005 has been increased, more details on the systematic error, to appear in Phys. Lett.

The Study and Implementation of Network-Based Auditing System with Session Tracking and Monitoring

With consideration of the increasing importance of auditing system and the present auditing systems’ incapability of performing packet reassembling analysis, this research attempts to develop a “network-based auditing system with session tracking and monitoring” to assist network administrators to analyze and rearrange the packets into separate session groups. This developed system is able to reveal every single step of the unauthorized activities. As a result, the administrators can investigate each network session and its transferred data more efficiently, and reduced greatly the time for auditing data analysis. In addition, the event reconstruction simulates the actual event occurred at that time; this feature provides network administrators with more detailed and realistic insight concerning vulnerabilities in network security that need to be fixed. Also, this system keeps track of all network events, and collects related information in a set of auditing files (log files). Moreover, the collected records and reassembled files can serve as evidences in tracing cyber-crimes and as references for recovery process
