Effective action approach to strongly correlated fermion systems

We construct a new functional for the single particle Green's function, which is a variant of the standard Baym Kadanoff functional. The stability of the stationary solutions to the new functional is directly related to aspects of the irreducible particle hole interaction through the Bethe Salpeter equation. A startling aspect of this functional is that it allows a simple and rigorous derivation of both the standard and extended dynamical mean field (DMFT) equations as stationary conditions. Though the DMFT equations were formerly obtained only in the limit of infinite lattice coordination, the new functional described in the work, presents a way of directly extending DMFT to finite dimensional systems, both on a lattice and in a continuum. Instabilities of the stationary solution at the bifurcation point of the functional, signal the appearance of a zero mode at the Mott transition which then couples t o physical quantities resulting in divergences at the transition.Comment: 9 page

ABSTRACTObjective: In day to day life, occupational stress is responsible for oxidative stress by altering sleep cycle. Scopolamine induction of amnesia correlatesto stress-induced amnesia in youngsters. Hence, the present study was aimed to investigate the anti-amnesic effect of ethanolic extract and ethylacetate fraction of Sargassum ilicifolium Turner (C. Agardh) against scopolamine. Methods: In this study, seven groups of animals were used and scopolamine (0.4 mg/kg b.wt/intraperitoneally) was administered to all groups exceptpositive control to induce memory loss. Elevated plus maze, Morris water maze served as an exteroceptive behavioral model in testing memory inyoung rats. Brain acetylcholinesterase, a biomarker enzyme was estimated. Finally histopathology of cerebral cortex was performed. Results: The extract and fraction treated group showed an interesting result in memory scores, and the significant enzyme inhibition might beresponsible to attenuate acetylcholine in cholinergic neurons to enhance memory. Finally, histopathology of cerebral cortex proved the neuroprotectiveeffect of S. ilicifolium. All the results were statistically significant. Conclusion: Neuroprotective role of S. ilicifolium Turner C.Agardh was highlighted well in this study and it will be interesting infuture to dissect outthe kinetics of individual components in the fraction and to strengthen the phytomolecule role by insilico studies. Keywords: Learning, Memory, Acetylcholinesterase, Sargassum ilicifolium Turner (C. Descriptive Survey Method has been adopted for the conduct of the study. Emotional Competency Inventory for Teachers (Balasubramanian and Abilash Babu, 2009) has been used to collect the required data from the sample chosen. The inventory contains 20 positive items and 5 negative items. The number of items selected for the inventory falling under four major dimensions viz. Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness and Relationship Management. In line with the Stratified Random Sampling Technique, 50 Principals of Colleges of Education from three districts of Tamilnadu state have been chosen for the study. Descriptive, differential and correlation analysis have been undertaken for data analysis adopting appropriate statistical techniques. It is found that there is significant difference at 0.05 level between the means of the scores of the Principals of the Colleges categorized based on their marital status with regard to their scores on Self Awareness, as one of the components of Emotional Competence. The mean value of the unmarried Principals has been found to be greater than that of married Principals. Hence, it is concluded that the unmarried principals possess more of Self-Awareness when compared to their married counter parts. It is also found that there is no significant difference between the means of the Principals of Colleges of Education on the scores of the most of the dimension of emotional competence of the principals irrespective of their sex and marital status as well as the locality and type of the institution. It is also found that there is significant and positive correlation at 0.01 level among different components of Emotional Competence viz. Self-Awareness and Self-Management & Relationship-Management, Self-Management and Social Awareness & Relationship-Management, Social Awareness and Self-Management & Relationship-Management. However, there is no significant relationship between Self-Awareness and Social Awareness, Social Awareness and Relationship Management.  Article visualizations

Descriptive Survey Method has been adopted to collect the required data from the Principals of the Colleges of Education. In line with Stratified Random Sampling Technique, 50 Principals of Colleges of Education from three districts of Tamilnadu state have been chosen for the study. Burnout Inventory for Teachers (Balasubramanian and Abilash Babu, 2009) was used to collect the required data from the sample chosen with regard to Burnout scores. The sample is comprised of male and female Principals with the age range between 30+ and 50 and above working in rural and urban areas. Descriptive, differential and correlation studies have been adopted to analyze the data. It is found that there is significant difference at 0.05 level between the means on the scores of Depersonalization of the Principals of Colleges of Education located at rural and urban areas. The mean value of the Principals of the urban area has been found to be greater than that of the those of the rural area. Hence, it is concluded that locality of the college has certain influence on the Depersonalization of the Principals. It is also found that there is no significant difference between the means of the scores of the Principals of Colleges of Education on various dimensions of their Burnout irrespective of their sex and marital status as well as the locality and type of college of education. Hence, it is concluded that sex and marital status of the Principals and the location and type of the colleges have no significant influence on the different dimension of Burnout. It is also found that there is significant and positive correlation at 0.01 level among the scores of various components of Burnout of the Principals of Colleges of Education viz. Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization, Reduced Personal Accomplishment and the Burnout total score. Hence, it is concluded that there has been significant and positive correlation among the various components of Burnout of the Principals of Colleges of Education. It means that the sense of wearing out, the emotional separation from the clients and the feeling of not achieving the set goals among the Principals are mutually influencing the other. Higher in one component of Burnout will result higher in other components also.     Article visualizations

Building robust m-commerce payment system on offline wireless network

    Get PDF
Mobile commerce is one of the upcoming research area with focus on mobile payment systems. Unfortunately, the current payment systems is directly dependent on fixed infrastructure of network (cellular network), which fails to facilitate optimal level of security for the payment system. The proposed system highlights a novel approach for building a secure, scalable, and flexible e-payment systems in the distributed scenario of wireless adhoc network in offline mode of communication for enhanced security on transaction and payment process. The proposed system uses Simple Public Key Infrastructure for providing the security in payment processes. The performance analysis of the proposed model shows that the system is highly robust and secure ensuring anonymity, privacy, non-repudiation offline payment system over wireless adhoc network

Reliable OSPM schema for secure transaction using mobile agent in micropayment system

The paper introduces a novel offline payment system in mobile commerce using the case study of micro-payments. The present paper is an extension version of our prior study addressing on implication of secure micropayment system deploying process oriented structural design in mobile network. The previous system has broad utilization of SPKI and hash chaining to furnish reliable and secure offline transaction in mobile commerce. However, the current work has attempted to provide much more light weight secure offline payment system in micro-payments by designing a new schema termed as Offline Secure Payment in Mobile Commerce (OSPM). The empirical operation are carried out on three types of transaction process considering maximum scenario of real time offline cases. Therefore, the current idea introduces two new parameters i.e. mobile agent and mobile token that can ensure better security and comparatively less network overhead
