Dichlorido{N-[2-(diphenylphosphanyl)benzylidene]-2-(thiophen-2-yl)ethanamine-κ2 P,N}platinum(II) dichloromethane hemisolvate
The crystal structure of the title compound, [PtCl2(C25H22NPS)]·0.5CH2Cl2, was determined to establish the coordination properties of the (phosphanyl)benzylidene–methanamine ligand to platinum. In the unit cell two molecules of cis-[PtCl2(C25H22NPS)] are accompanied by a dichloromethane solvent molecule. The square-planar Pt2+ coordination sphere is slightly distorted with the bidentate ligand coordinated via the P and the amine N atoms, and the Cl atoms located cis at the two remaining coordination sites. Parts of the thiophene ring and the solvate molecule were modeled as disordered with occupancy ratios of 0.55 (2):0.45 (2) and 0.302 (10):0.198 (10), respectively. Weak C—H⋯Cl interactions stabilize the crystal packing
Dichlorido(η4-cycloocta-1,5-diene)bis(propanenitrile-κN)ruthenium(II)
In the title complex, [RuCl2(C8H12)(C3H5N)2], the metal ion is coordinated to both double bonds of the cycloocta-1,5-diene ligand, two chloride ions (in cis positions) and two N-atom donors from two propanenitrile molecules that complete the coordination sphere for the neutral complex. The coordination around the RuII atom can thus be considered as octahedral with slight trigonal distortion
Synthesis and characterisation of palladium, platinum and gold complexes and their biological activity against oesophageal cancer cell lines
Includes bibliographical references.New iminophosphine ligands were synthesised in good yields from the condensation of N-(2-(diphenylphosphino)benzaldehyde with the appropriate amine. A series of new metal complexes (Pd, Pt and Au) were obtained by coordination of the iminophosphine ligands in good yields. The complexes were characterised using the spectroscopic and analytical techniques mentioned above, with the exception of the palladium dichloride complexes that are highly insoluble in organic solvents
Dichlorido[2-diphenylphosphanyl-N-(pyridin-3-ylmethyl)benzylidenamine-κ2 P,N]platinum(II)
The title compound, [PtCl2(C25H21N2P)], is a PtII complex with an NPCl2 coordination sphere in which the metal is coordinated to the imino N and phosphane P atoms of the ligand and to two chloride ions. The PtII atom is in a distorted square-planar environment and is bound to the ligand via the P and amine N atoms in a cis fashion, with the chlorine atoms located at the two remaining sites

Bis(acrylonitrile-κN)dichlorido(η4-cycloocta-1,5-diene)ruthenium(II)
In the title complex, [RuCl2(C8H12)(C3H3N)2], the metal ion is coordinated to centers of each of the double bonds of the cycloocta-1,5-diene ligand, to two chloride ions (in cis positions) and to two N-atom donors from two acrylonitrile molecules that complete the coordination sphere for the neutral complex. The coordination about the RuII atom can thus be considered octahedral with slight trigonal distortion. The three C atoms of one of the acrylonitrile ligands are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.581 (13):0.419 (13) ratio
(SP-4-2)-Chlorido{N-[2-(diphenylphosphanyl) benzylidene]benzylamine κ²P,N}(methyl)palladium(II)
In the title Pd¹¹ complex, [Pd(C₃H)C₂₆l(CH₂₂NP)], the Pd¹¹ atom is coordinated in a slightly distorted square-planar geometry by the imino N and phosphane P atoms of the ligand, by one chloride ion and by a methyl ligand. The methyl group is trans to the N atom of the ligand
