STP Models of Optimal Differential and Linear Trail for S-box Based Ciphers

    Get PDF
Automatic tools have played an important role in designing new cryptographic primitives and evaluating the security of ciphers. Simple Theorem Prover constraint solver (STP) has been used to search for differential/linear trails of ciphers. This paper proposes general STP-based models searching for differential and linear trails with the optimal probability and correlation for S-box based ciphers. In order to get trails with the best probability or correlation for ciphers with arbitrary S-box, we give an efficient algorithm to describe probability or correlation of S-Box. Based on the algorithm we present a search model for optimal differential and linear trails, which is efficient for ciphers with S-Boxes whose DDTs/LATs contain entities not equal to the power of two. Meanwhile, the STP-based model for single-key impossible differentials considering key schedule is proposed, which traces the propagation of values from plaintext to ciphertext instead of propagations of differences. And we found that there is no 5-round AES-128 single-key truncated impossible differential considering key schedule, where input and output differences have only one active byte respectively. Finally, our proposed models are utilized to search for trails of bit-wise ciphers GIFT-128, DES, DESL and ICEBERG and word-wise ciphers ARIA, SM4 and SKINNY-128. As a result, improved results are presented in terms of the number of rounds or probabilities/correlations

Based on the research background of Shandong Lilou Coal Mine, this paper used methods such as on-site investigation, engineering comparison, and on-site monitoring to research on the high-energy events that have occurred in Lilou Coal Mine since 2020, and drew the following conclusions: ①Systematically analyzed the relationship between four influencing factors and high-energy microseismic events including the distribution of abutment pressure, working face “square”, crossing faults, and mining speed, and searched the causes of large energy events. The mining influence range of No.1302 (top) working face is about 30 m behind the face to 170 m in front, and the advanced stress peak is about 70 m in front. The lateral microseismic events are mainly distributed along the gob-side entry, and the whole is offset to the side of the goaf. The distribution of microseismic events at No.1303 working face in the advancing direction of the working face ranges from 15 m behind the face to 200 m in front of the face, and the advanced stress peak is about 80 m in front of the face. The microseismic event at the No.1303 working face is bimodal in the lateral distribution pattern, shifting to the belt grooves. Affected by the wide coal pillar, the stress concentration on the belt grooves is higher than that on the track tunnel. The frequency and energy of microseismic events gradually increased before the “square” of the work face, and stabilized after the “square”. Before crossing the fault, the microseismic events gradually increased, decreased sharply during the crossing, and gradually stabilized after crossing the fault. The peak position of the event was about 40 m in front of the “square” or before the fault. When the mining speed of 1302 (top) working face is 50 m/month and the 1303 working face is 60 m/month, the frequency and energy are the largest. ②By analyzing the inducing factors and locations of large-energy events, large-energy events can be divided into three categories: “energy accumulation type” high-energy events, “fault activation type” high-energy events, and “island structure type” high-energy events, and put forward specific prevention and control measures for different types. The research in this article will provide reference for surrounding mines with similar geological factors and mining technical conditions

Stevioside Prevents Wear Particle-Induced Osteolysis by Inhibiting Osteoclastogenesis and Inflammatory Response via the Suppression of TAK1 Activation

Aseptic loosening and periprosthetic osteolysis are the leading causes of total joint arthroplasty failure, which occurs as a result of chronic inflammatory response and enhanced osteoclast activity. Here we showed that stevioside, a natural compound isolated from Stevia rebaudiana, exhibited preventative effects on titanium particle-induced osteolysis in a mouse calvarial model. Further histological assessment and real-time PCR analysis indicated that stevioside prevented titanium particle-induced osteolysis by inhibiting osteoclast formation and inflammatory cytokine expression in vivo. In vitro, we found that stevioside could suppress RANKL-induced osteoclastogenesis and titanium particle-induced inflammatory response in a dose-dependent manner. Mechanistically, stevioside achieved these effects by disrupting the phosphorylation of TAK1 and subsequent activation of NF-κB/MAPKs signaling pathways. Collectively, our data suggest that stevioside effectively suppresses osteoclastogenesis and inflammatory response both in vitro and in vivo, and it might be a potential therapy for particle-induced osteolysis and other osteolytic diseases

HemoglobinA1c Is a Risk Factor for Changes of Bone Mineral Density: A Mendelian Randomization Study

BackgroundAs a valuable blood glucose measurement, HemoglobinA1c (HbA1c) is of great clinical value for diabetes. However, in previous observational studies, studies on its effect on bone mineral density (BMD) have different results. This study aimed to use Mendelian randomization (MR) to assess the effect of HbA1c on bone mineral density and fracture risk, and try to further explore whether this association was achieved through glycemic or non-glycemic factors.MethodsTake HbA1c measurement as exposure, and BMD estimated from quantitative heel ultrasounds (eBMD) and bone fractures as outcomes. Two-Sample MR Analysis was conducted to assess the causal effect of HbA1C on heel BMD and risk fracture. Then, we performed the analysis using two subsets of these variants, one related to glycemic measurement and the other to erythrocyte indices.ResultsGenetically increased HbA1C was associated with the lower heel eBMD [odds ratio (OR) 0.91 (95% CI 0.87, 0.96) per %-unit, P = 3 × 10−4(IVW)]. Higher HbA1C was associated with lower heel eBMD when using only erythrocytic variants [OR 0.87 (0.82, 0.93), P=2× 10−5(IVW)]; However, when using only glycemic variants, this casual association does not hold. In further MR analysis, we test the association of erythrocytic traits with heel eBMD.ConclusionOur study revealed the significant causal effect of HbA1c on eBMD, and this causal link might achieve through non-glycemic pathways (erythrocytic indices)

Stropharia rugosoannulata is a widely grown edible mushroom with a high nutritional value. S. rugosoannulata polysaccharides is one of the most important bioactive components of S. rugosoannulata and has a wide range of activities. A S. rugosoannulata polysaccharides, named SRF-3, was derived from the S. rugosoannulata extraction by freeze-thaw combine with hot water extraction method, then prepareed with DEAE-cellulose column and Sephacryl S-200 HR gel column, and its hypolipidemic activity was determined. The structural characteristics of SRF-3 were analyzed by infrared spectral scanning (FT-IR), ultra-high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC), acid hydrolysis, methylation analysis, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS). SRF-3 is composed of mannose, galactose, methyl galactose and fructose with ratios of 16, 12, 58 and 12, respectively. In addition, the average relative molecular mass of SRF-3 is approximately 24 kDa. The main chain of SRF-3 is mainly composed of repeating α-D-1,6-Galp and α-D-1,6-Me-Galp units, with branches in the O-2 position of Gal. The structure is presumed to be a mannogalactan, with a small amount of t-β-D-Manp present as a side chain. Hypolipidemic activity assay showed that SRF-3 had good antioxidant and hypolipidemic effects in vitro, suggesting that SRF-3 have potential application in reducing liver fat accumulation

Gas geochemistry of the hot springs gas in Fujian province, SE China: insight into the deep faults and seismic activity

Fujian province is located at the forefront of the South China continental margin, situated on the edge of the Circum-Pacific seismic belt, and it is one of the regions with the most active neotectonic and geothermal activities in Chinese mainland. To explore the geochemical signals of hot spring gases to tectonic activity and earthquakes, a collection of geothermal gas samples was collected from 29 locations in Fujian from January 2021 to December 2022 (many of which were multiply collected at several sites quarterly). The gas samples were tested for their gas composition, helium, neon, carbon isotopes, radon contents, and gas flow rates. The results show that the dominant component of the hot spring outgassing is N2, and the increase in CO2 content is often associated with the increasing 13C. The variation range of the helium isotope ratio (3He/4He) in the hot spring gases is between 0.06 and 2.20Ra, and Rc/Ra varies between 0.06 and 1.58, with peak values occurring at the intersections of deep faults. Radon contents range from 18 to 2000 Bq/L. Calculations revealed that the maximum proportion of mantle-derived helium is 30.2%, and the mantle-derived heat contribution ranges from 37.6% to 63.4%. These data indicate a significant mantle degassing process in Fujian, with a high degree of mantle-crust connectivity, and mantle-derived heat as the main source of geothermal activity in the area. Comparative analysis with regional seismic activity indicates that areas with relatively strong upwelling of deep fluids are the main regions of regional seismic activity, and seismic intensity is positively correlated with mantle-derived heat flow. Thus, deep thermal fluid actives are closely genetically correlated to regional seismic activity. Additionally, the correlation analysis with the Taiwan ML6.0 earthquake suggests that high 3He/4He, δ13CCO2 values of hot spring gas and gas flow velocity in Nancheng Hot Spring (QZ6) indicate significant short-term and imminent anomaly indications preceding ML6.0 earthquakes in the Taiwan region
