    Stable Large-Scale Perturbations in Interacting Dark-Energy Model

    It is found that the evolutions of density perturbations on the super-Hubble scales are unstable in the model with dark-sector interaction QQ proportional to the energy density of cold dark matter (CDM) ρm\rho_m and constant equation of state parameter of dark energy wdw_d. In this paper, to avoid the instabilities, we suggest a new covariant model for the energy-momentum transfer between DE and CDM. Then we show that the the large-scale instabilities of curvature perturbations can be avoided in our model in the universe filled only by DE and CDM. Furthermore, by including the additional components of radiation and baryons, we calculate the dominant non-adiabatic modes in the radiation era and find that the modes grow in the power law with exponent at the order of unit.Comment: 14 pages, 2 figures. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:1110.180

    Naked Singularity in the Sultana-Dyer Space-Time

    How to describe a black hole embedded in an expanding universe is an important topic. Some models about this issue are suggested by assuming that the metric is a conformal transformation of the Schwarzschild metric or of the isotropic black hole metric. However, there exists naked singularities in the two metrics. Recently, it is argued that the singularity in the Sultana-Dyer space-time is covered by an apparent horizon surface.     Phantom Energy Accretion onto Black Holes in Cyclic Universe

    Black holes pose a serious problem in the cyclic or oscillating cosmology. It is speculated that, in the cyclic universe with phantom turnarounds, black holes will be torn apart by the phantom energy before turnaround before they can create any problems. In this paper, using the mechanism of the phantom accretion onto black holes, we find that black holes do not disappear before the phantom turnaround.     New Interaction between Dark Energy and Dark Matter Changes Sign during Cosmological Evolution

    It is found by Cai and Su that the interaction between dark energy and cold dark matter is likely to change the sign during the cosmological evolution. Motivated by this, we suggest a new form of interaction between dark energy and dark matter, which changes from negative to positive as the expansion of our universe changes from decelerated to accelerated. We find that the interacting model is consistent with the second law of thermodynamics and the observational constraints.     Electrical Control of Magnetization in Charge-ordered Multiferroic LuFe2O4

    LuFe2O4 exhibits multiferroicity due to charge order on a frustrated triangular lattice. We find that the magnetization of LuFe2O4 in the multiferroic state can be electrically controlled by applying voltage pulses. Depending on with or without magnetic fields, the magnetization can be electrically switched up or down. We have excluded thermal heating effect and attributed this electrical control of magnetization to an intrinsic magnetoelectric coupling in response to the electrical breakdown of charge ordering.     Trapping Horizons in the Sultana-Dyer Space-Time

    The Sultana-Dyer space-time is suggested as a model describing a black hole embedded in an expanding universe. Recently, in \cite{0705.4012}, its global structure is analyzed and the trapping horizons are shown. In the paper, by directly calculating the expansions of the radial null vector fields normal to the space-like two-spheres foliating the trapping horizons, we find that the trapping horizon outside the event horizon in the Sultana-Dyer space-time is a past trapping horizon. Further, we find that the past trapping horizon is an outer, instantaneously degenerate or inner trapping horizon accordingly when the radial coordinate is less than, equal to or greater than some value.Comment: no figures, 5 pages; PCAS and key words are adde
