Dark matter for excess of AMS-02 positrons and antiprotons
We propose a dark matter explanation to simultaneously account for the excess
of antiproton-to-proton and positron power spectra observed in the AMS-02
experiment while having the right dark matter relic abundance and satisfying
the current direct search bounds. We extend the Higgs triplet model with a
hidden gauge symmetry of that is broken to by a quadruplet
scalar field, rendering the associated gauge bosons stable weakly-interacting
massive particle dark matter candidates. By coupling the complex Higgs triplet
and the quadruplet, the dark matter candidates can annihilate into
triplet Higgs bosons each of which in turn decays into lepton or gauge boson
final states. Such a mechanism gives rise to correct excess of positrons and
antiprotons with an appropriate choice of the triplet vacuum expectation value.
Besides, the model provides a link between neutrino mass and dark matter

DO HEALTH CLAIMS MATTER FOR CONSUMER PREFERENCE ON TEA BEVERAGE? EXPERIMENTAL EVIDENCE FROM TAIWAN
This paper aims to identify consumer preference for tea drinking products in Taiwan by applying conjoint analysis and investigate whether health claims as attributes would influence consumer’s choice behavior. From 1 July to 31 August 2005, 620 consumers of tea drinking products participated in the choice-based conjoint experiment, which conducted in the city of Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung in Taiwan. The data were collected in supermarket using questionnaire for personal interviews. Overall, the estimated individual models fit the data well using Conditional Logit Model. Regarding the result of “Original Tea”, consumer’s order ranking of tea category is green tea, oolong tea, and black tea. The most importance on the standard that health claims have positive influence on higher likelihood of purchasing tea drinks. In addition, consumer prefers to tea drinks with Catechins, processing technology using cold extraction, and paper package. However, it could be seen that as the price increases the utility for the consumer decreases. Also, we report the negative relationship between price and purchasing intention. It is found that respondents preferred to tea drinking products with health claims. This result stands for consumer’s concern on their health status by intaking additives like Catechins. Slow Mass Transport and Statistical Evolution of An Atomic Gas Across the Superfluid-Mott Insulator Transition
We study transport dynamics of ultracold cesium atoms in a two-dimensional
optical lattice across the superfluid-Mott insulator transition based on in
situ imaging. Inducing the phase transition with a lattice ramping routine
expected to be locally adiabatic, we observe a global mass redistribution which
requires a very long time to equilibrate, more than 100 times longer than the
microscopic time scales for on-site interaction and tunneling. When the sample
enters the Mott insulator regime, mass transport significantly slows down. By
employing fast recombination pulses to analyze the occupancy distribution, we
observe similarly slow-evolving dynamics, and a lower effective temperature at
the center of the sample
DARTS-ASR: Differentiable Architecture Search for Multilingual Speech Recognition and Adaptation
In previous works, only parameter weights of ASR models are optimized under
fixed-topology architecture. However, the design of successful model
architecture has always relied on human experience and intuition. Besides, many
hyperparameters related to model architecture need to be manually tuned.
Therefore in this paper, we propose an ASR approach with efficient
gradient-based architecture search, DARTS-ASR. In order to examine the
generalizability of DARTS-ASR, we apply our approach not only on many languages
to perform monolingual ASR, but also on a multilingual ASR setting. Following
previous works, we conducted experiments on a multilingual dataset, IARPA
BABEL. The experiment results show that our approach outperformed the baseline
fixed-topology architecture by 10.2% and 10.0% relative reduction on character
error rates under monolingual and multilingual ASR settings respectively.
Furthermore, we perform some analysis on the searched architectures by
