This paper presents impact of layout sizes of Al0.27Ga0.73N/AlN/Al0.04Ga0.96N/GaN HEMT heterostructure high-mobility transistors (HEMTs) on SiC substrate on its characteristics that include the threshold voltage, the maximum transconductance, characteristic frequency, and the maximum oscillation frequency. The changing parameters include the gate finger number, the gate width per finger. The measurement results based on common-source devices demonstrate that the above parameters have different effects on the threshold voltage, maximum transconductance, and frequency characteristics

130 leaves : col. ill. ; 29 cm. + 1 computer diskIncludes abstract and appendix.Includes bibliographical references (leaves 122-130).CD-ROM in pocket contains supplementary materials. One of the main undesirable processes in Supercritical Water-Cooled Reactors (SCWR) is the possible formation of metal ligand complexes from ions present in coolant which is very poorly understood both experimentally and theoretically. As pressurized and heated solutions are difficult to work with, computational methods have now become an important research tool in this respect. A series of ab initio calculations of nickel(II) with hydroxide, ammonia, water and chloride have been performed at HF, MP2 and B3LYP levels with 6-31+G* basis sets. A thorough examination of geometries, energies and vibrational frequencies has been carried out for all species up to and including hexacoordinate species. The computational results are compared with experimental data where available

AbstractUsing a panel of 73 countries from 2000 to 2008, this study uses Investment Development Path theory as a framework that utilises institutional quality (IQ) as a threshold for the effect of economic development on OFDI. Using the dynamic threshold model, we find new evidence that the strong promoting effect is initiated when IQ is within a certain interval, which is supplementary to IDP theory. Finally, we propose the corresponding advice

Beyond Triplet: Leveraging the Most Data for Multimodal Machine Translation

Multimodal machine translation (MMT) aims to improve translation quality by incorporating information from other modalities, such as vision. Previous MMT systems mainly focus on better access and use of visual information and tend to validate their methods on image-related datasets. These studies face two challenges. First, they can only utilize triple data (bilingual texts with images), which is scarce; second, current benchmarks are relatively restricted and do not correspond to realistic scenarios. Therefore, this paper correspondingly establishes new methods and new datasets for MMT. First, we propose a framework 2/3-Triplet with two new approaches to enhance MMT by utilizing large-scale non-triple data: monolingual image-text data and parallel text-only data. Second, we construct an English-Chinese {e}-commercial {m}ulti{m}odal {t}ranslation dataset (including training and testing), named EMMT, where its test set is carefully selected as some words are ambiguous and shall be translated mistakenly without the help of images. Experiments show that our method is more suitable for real-world scenarios and can significantly improve translation performance by using more non-triple data. In addition, our model also rivals various SOTA models in conventional multimodal translation benchmarks.Comment: 8 pages, ACL 2023 Findin
