    Mixed Qubit Cannot Be Universally Broadcast

    We show that there does not exist any universal quantum cloning machine that can broadcast an arbitrary mixed qubit with a constant fidelity. Based on this result, we investigate the dependent quantum cloner in the sense that some parameter of the input qubit ρs(θ,ω,λ)\rho_s(\theta,\omega,\lambda) is regarded as constant in the fidelity. For the case of constant ω\omega, we establish the 121\to2 optimal symmetric dependent cloner with a fidelity 1/2. It is also shown that the 1M1\to M optimal quantum cloning machine for pure qubits is also optimal for mixed qubits, when λ\lambda is the unique parameter in the fidelity.     Quantum interference in dirty d-wave superconductors

    The local differential tunneling conductance on a Zn impurity in a disordered d-wave superconductors is studied. Quantum interference between many impurities leads to definitive quasiparticle spectra. We suggest that an elaborate analysis on impurity-induced spectra with quantum interference effect included may be able to pin down the sign and strength of the scattering potential of a Zn impurity in low density limit. Numerical simulations calculated with appropriately determined impurity parameters are in satisfactory agreement with the observations from scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) experiments even in subtle details

    On the Nature of X(4260)

    We study the property of X(4260)X(4260) resonance by re-analyzing all experimental data available, especially the e+eJ/ψπ+π,ωχc0e^+e^- \rightarrow J/\psi\,\pi^+\pi^-,\,\,\,\omega\chi_{c0} cross section data. The final state interactions of the ππ\pi\pi, KKˉK\bar K couple channel system are also taken into account. A sizable coupling between the X(4260)X(4260) and ωχc0\omega\chi_{c0} is found. The inclusion of the ωχc0\omega\chi_{c0} data indicates a small value of Γe+e=23.30±3.55\Gamma_{e^+e^-}=23.30\pm 3.55eV.Comment: Refined analysis with new experimental data included. 13 page
