The Synesthesia effects of Online Advertising Stimulus Design on Word-of-Mouth and Purchase Intention: From the Perspective of Consumer Olfactory and Gustatory
Multisensory marketing has been seen as an approach improving advertising effect in the social science, neuroscience, and marketing literature. For examining visual/audio synesthesia, the effect of smelling and tasting an online product, this study first developed design elements of digital video advertising: rational/emotional appeals and fast/slow tempo. Moreover, it strives to investigate empirically the effects of various online advertisement contexts on consumer emotion, attitude, and behavioral intention. We used event-related potentials (ERPs) in a scenario-based laboratory experiments. Data collected from 166 customers provide strong support for the research model. Through EEG and SEM analyses, in rational advertisings, consumers’ olfactory was triggered and both arousal and pleasure of the emotions affected the attitudes; in emotional advertisings, not only olfactory but gustatory were triggered and only pleasure affected the attitudes. By understanding online advertising design and synesthesia, insights from the findings can benefit designers and marketers in implementing more effective marketing strategies
A kernel-based least-squares collocation method for surface diffusion
There are plenty of applications and analysis for time-independent elliptic
partial differential equations in the literature hinting at the benefits of
overtesting by using more collocation conditions than the number of basis
functions. Overtesting not only reduces the problem size, but is also known to
be necessary for stability and convergence of widely used unsymmetric
Kansa-type strong-form collocation methods. We consider kernel-based meshfree
methods, which is a method of lines with collocation and overtesting spatially,
for solving parabolic partial differential equations on surfaces without
parametrization. In this paper, we extend the time-independent convergence
theories for overtesting techniques to the parabolic equations on smooth and
closed surfaces.Comment: 4 figures, 21 page
Bis(2,2′-bipyridine-κ2 N,N′)(thioÂcyanato-κN)copper(II) perchlorate
The asymmetric unit of title compound, [Cu(NCS)(C10H8N2)2]ClO4, contains a bisÂ(2,2′-bipyridine)(isothioÂcyanato)copper(II) cation and a perchlorate anion. In the cation, the Cu2+ ion is coordinated by four N atoms from two bidentate 2,2′-bipyridine molÂecules and an N atom from an isothioÂcyanate anion, resulting in a distorted CuN5 pyramidal configuration. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak interÂmolecular C—H⋯O and C—H⋯S hydrogen bonds, and weak π–π interÂactions between 2,2′-bipyridine rings [centroid–centroid distance = 3.908 (4) Å]. The perchlorate counteranion is disordered over two positions in a 0.66:0.34 ratio
Intelligent E-Learning System with Personalized Misconception Diagnose and Learning Path Guidance
In recent years, to advances network technology, IT-enabled learning and support learning are important in on-line education. More learners obtain knowledge by the Web-Learning Instruction (WBI). Learners usually induce the problem of misconception and cognitive overload when they use Web-based learning system. At present, most of the studies in the on-line education either concentrate on the technological aspect (e.g. personalization technology development) or focus on adapting learner’s interests or browsing behaviors, while, learner’s ability and level of knowledge is neglected. Therefore, it is important to consider learner’s ability while designing web-based learning system. This study developed an On-line Knowledge Diagnose System (OKDS) to diagnose learner’s misconception and provide personalized remedial guidance that based on a graphic organizer technology - concept map. The results indicate that the OKDS can effectiveness enhance learners learner’s learning performance and learner also has positive perception of OKDS
