    Get PDF
BackgroundSingle recurrence in the sub-frontal region after cerebellar medulloblastoma (MB) resection is rare and the underlying molecular characteristics have not been specifically addressed.MethodsWe summarized two such cases in our center. All five samples were molecularly profiled for their genome and transcriptome signatures.ResultsThe recurrent tumors displayed genomic and transcriptomic divergence. Pathway analysis of recurrent tumors showed functional convergence in metabolism, cancer, neuroactive ligand–receptor interaction, and PI3K-AKT signaling pathways. Notably, the sub-frontal recurrent tumors had a much higher proportion (50–86%) of acquired driver mutations than that reported in other recurrent locations. The acquired putative driver genes in the sub-frontal recurrent tumors functionally enriched for chromatin remodeler-associated genes, such as KDM6B, SPEN, CHD4, and CHD7. Furthermore, the germline mutations of our cases showed a significant functional convergence in focal adhesion, cell adhesion molecules, and ECM–receptor interaction. Evolutionary analysis showed that the recurrence could be derived from a single primary tumor lineage or had an intermediate phylogenetic similarity to the matched primary one.ConclusionRare single sub-frontal recurrent MBs presented specific mutation signatures that might be related to the under-dose radiation. Particular attention should be paid to optimally covering the sub-frontal cribriform plate during postoperative radiotherapy targeting

Green logistics which based on ecological environmental protection and sustainable development changed the unilaterally influencing relations between development and logistics, life of consumption and logistics, and it represented the future development direction and trend of logistics. Based on existing definitions of green logistics, this paper analyzed the connotation and related concepts of green logistics both in China and abroad and dissected the connotation of green logistics in aspects of objective, function, content, actors, etc. And the insufficiency of existing research results and future development direction were given on the basis of existing research results. In the current society, with the rapid development of economy, modern logistics activity has become increasingly frequent. At the same time, development of these two just affects each other. It is undeniable that development of modern logistics will promote economic development; meanwhile, rapid development of economy can also increase the logistics quantity. Therefore, they just supplement each other. With continuous development of economy, the demand for logistics increases continuously. Under the condition of high demand, many problems occur, such as urban traffic congestion, waste of resources and fuel consumption. Under such situations, the influence of logistics development on social environment is quite severe and it goes against sustainable development of economy in a new period. At present, people's environmental awareness increases gradually, and they begin to explore new logistics systems which can not only satisfy the demand of social development but also restrain the influence of logistics activity on environment. Thereby, "green logistics" emerges as the times require. "Green logistics" not only effectively improves the environment pollution problems of traditional logistics but also accords with the general trend of the current environmental protection. Therefore, it is the direction of future logistics development. As for study on "green logistics", a definition is proposed for green logistics in Logistics Terms (GB/T 18354-2001) published in 2001. However, the extensive logistics professionals lack a comprehensive understanding about green logistics and its characteristics. As a result, they cannot fully understand and even misunderstand green logistics, or some unnecessary faults might be caused. Therefore, it can provide reference for practical work of green logistics to strengthen cognition about green logistics and accurately comprehend the connotation of green logistics

Study on the Rheological Behavior of a Model Clay Sediment

Clay sediments are the main component of seabed sediment. Interactions between the nano-sized, disk-shaped and charged clay particles are complicated, as they control the sediment’s rheology. In this study, we studied the rheological behavior of the clay sediment modeled by laponite and bentonite suspensions experimentally using a rotational rheometer. The yield stress decreased when water content increased. Meanwhile, the yield stress of the laponite suspension first increased and then decreased with increasing salinity. It is considered that the face-to-face repulsive electrostatic interaction between clay platelets dominated the yield behavior. A yield stress model was developed to describe the change of the yield stress with both the water content and the salinity. When the system started to flow, the viscosity decreased with increasing shear. A master curve of viscosity is was from the viscosity-stress curves at different water contents if the applied shear stress was normalized by the yield stress and the viscosity normalized by a characteristic viscosity. This study provides a preliminary understanding of the clay sediment rheology and its mechanism for the investigation on the flowing of the sediment systems with strong interparticle interaction

While modern industry has contributed to the prosperity of an increasingly urbanized society, it has also led to serious pollution problems, with discharged wastewater and exhaust gases causing significant environmental harm. Titanium dioxide (TiO2), which is an excellent photocatalyst, has received extensive attention because it is inexpensive and able to photocatalytically degrade pollutants in an environmentally friendly manner. TiO2 has many advantages, including high chemical stability, low toxicity, low operating costs, and environmental friendliness. TiO2 is an N-order semiconductor material with a bandgap of 3.2 eV. Only when the wavelength of ultraviolet light is less than or equal to 387.5 nm, the valence band electrons can obtain the energy of the photon and pass through the conduction band to form photoelectrons, meanwhile the valence band forms a photogenerated hole. And light in other wavelength regions does not excite this photogenerated electrons. The most common methods used to improve the photocatalytic efficiency of TiO2 involve increasing its photoresponse range and reducing photogenerated-carrier coupling. The morphology, size, and structure of a heterojunction can be altered through element doping, leading to improved photocatalytic efficiency. Mainstream methods for preparing TiO2 are reviewed in this paper, with several excellent preparation schemes for improving the photocatalytic efficiency of TiO2 introduced. TiO2 is mainly prepared using sol-gel, solvothermal, hydrothermal, anodic oxidation, microwave-assisted, CVD and PVD methods, and TiO2 nanoparticles with excellent photocatalytic properties can also be prepared. Ti-containing materials are widely used to purify harmful gases, as well as contaminants from building materials, coatings, and daily necessities. Therefore, the preparation and applications of titanium materials have become globally popular research topics

Experimental Study on Fire Suppression of the Outdoor Oil-Immersed Transformer by High-Pressure Water Mist System

Fire accidents due to oil-immersed transformers seriously threaten the safe operation of power systems. In this paper, the similarity principle was used to design a high-pressure water mist fire-extinguishing test platform for a small-scale transformer fire, and the design method achieved a good fire extinguishing effect. The results indicate that a deflagration phenomenon, lasting about 2–4 s, could be observed after activating the high-pressure water mist system; the flame temperature rose rapidly at first, then dropped sharply, and finally cooled to the indoor temperature. The nozzle’s flow rate in this system has a significant impact on the fire extinguishing time. Meanwhile, the adjustment of the upper nozzle height also influenced the fire suppression effectiveness of the system, where a height of 1800 mm achieved the best performance compared to the others. In addition, the ambient wind speed is a very unfavorable factor for transformer fire suppression, where the fire extinguishing efficiency decreases rapidly with the increase in wind speed. Therefore, under low wind speed conditions, the high-pressure water mist system has great advantages in the fire suppression of outdoor oil-immersed transformers, and the above research results can provide a reference for the optimization design of this system

A Novel Real-Time Echo Separation Processing Architecture for Space–Time Waveform-Encoding SAR Based on Elevation Digital Beamforming

    No full text
Space–time waveform-encoding (STWE) SAR can receive echoes from multiple sub-swaths simultaneously with a single receive window. The echoes overlap each other in the time domain. To separate the echoes from different directions, traditional schemes adapt single-null steering techniques for digital receive beam patterns. However, the problems of spaceborne DBF-SAR, in practice, such as null extension loss, terrain undulation, elevation angle of arrival extension, and spaceborne antenna beam control, make the conventional scheme unable to effectively separate the echoes from different sub-swaths, which overlap each other in the time domain.A novel multi-null constrained echo separation scheme is proposed to overcome the shortcomings of the conventional scheme. The proposed algorithm can flexibly adjust the width of the notch to track the time-varying pulse extension angle with less resource consumption. Moreover, the hardware implementation details of the corresponding real-time processing architecture are discussed. The two-dimensional simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme can effectively improve the performance of echo separation. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by raw data processing instance of an X-band 16-channel DBF-SAR airborne system
