    Scars in Dirac fermion systems: the influence of an Aharonov--Bohm flux

    Time-reversal (T\mathcal{T}-) symmetry is fundamental to many physical processes. Typically, T\mathcal{T}-breaking for microscopic processes requires the presence of magnetic field. However, for 2D massless Dirac billiards, T\mathcal{T}-symmetry is broken automatically by the mass confinement, leading to chiral quantum scars. In this paper, we investigate the mechanism of T\mathcal{T}-breaking by analyzing the local current of the scarring eigenstates and their magnetic response to an Aharonov--Bohm flux. Our results unveil the complete understanding of the subtle T\mathcal{T}-breaking phenomena from both the semiclassical formula of chiral scars and the microscopic current and spin reflection at the boundaries, leading to a controlling scheme to change the chirality of the relativistic quantum scars. Our findings not only have significant implications on the transport behavior and spin textures of the relativistic pseudoparticles, but also add basic knowledge to relativistic quantum chaos.Comment: 37 pages, 11 figure

    INTRA-INDUSTRY TRADE BETWEEN TAIWAN AND ASEAN-5 IN THE AGRO-FOOD SECTOR: PATTERNS AND DETERMINANTS

    This paper attempts to identify the patterns and determinants of the levels of IIT between Taiwan and ASEAN-5 during the past three decades. Our empirical results confirm the belief that IIT between Taiwan and ASEAN-5 in the agro-food sector has been growing over time. Although industry-specific factors like market size and product differentiation have desirable impacts on IIT, taste overlaps do not. No deterministic conclusion can be drawn from the effect of trade liberalization as implied by removing trade barriers when shaping the future development of IIT. However, the indirect effect arising from income and consumer preferences' convergence may be the main determinant in promoting intra-industry agro-food trade among the Asian countries.International Relations/Trade,

    Bond relaxation, electronic and magnetic behavior of 2D metals structures Y on Li(110) surface

    We investigated the bond, electronic and magnetic behavior of adsorption Yttrium atoms on Lithium (110) surface using a combination of Bond-order-length-strength(BOLS) correlation and density-functional theory(DFT). We found that adsorption Y atoms on Li(110) surfaces form two-dimensional (2D) geometric structures of hexagon, nonagon, solid hexagonal, quadrangle and triangle. The consistent with the magnetic moment are 6.66{\mu}B, 5.54{\mu}B, 0.28{\mu}B, 1.04{\mu}B, 2.81{\mu}B, respectively.     Constructing Employability Indicators for Enhancing the Effectiveness of Engineering Education for the Solar Industry

    The aim of this research is to establish a set of employability indicators that capture the competency requirements and performance expectations that solar energy enterprises have of their employees. In the qualitative component of the study, 12 administrators and 32 engineers in the industry were interviewed, and meetings with focus groups were conducted to formulate a questionnaire for a survey of Taiwanese solar energy companies for the confirmation and prioritisation of the employability indicators. On the basis of the results of the quantitative component, an interpretational model relating competence, job performance, working attitude, and employability for solar corporation recruitment and training purposes as well as for school curricular development was developed. The interpretation model formulated effectively interprets the relationship between solar enterprises’ expectations and students’ employability. The research contributes a framework for the selection and cultivation of talent, as well as providing a basis for fundamental development of the solar engineering curriculum
