Letter Written by Carl A. Challberg to the Bryant College Service Club
[Transcription begins] HENRY HUDSON HOTEL 353 WEST FIFTY-SEVENTH STREET NEW YORK
Bryant Service Club:—
Thanks a lot for your recent gift of cigarettes and also your letter received while at Camp Lee. I graduated on March 19th and, for the present, am assigned to the Cost Analysis Branch of the Quartermaster Corp here in New York City. Actually the office is under the jurisdiction of the Jersey City Quartermaster Depot.
Please accept my apologies for not acknowledging your similar gift last Xmas, but at that time it seemed as though there was hardly time to sleep.
Thanks again and best of luck—
Sincerely, Carl A. Challberg 2nd Lt. QMC [Transcription ends
