Status of Supersymmetric Grand Unified Theories

We begin with a brief discussion of the building blocks of supersymmetric grand unified theories. We recall some of the compelling theoretical reasons for viewing supersymmetric grand unification as an attractive avenue for physics beyond the standard model.
