EL SENTIDO DE LA COLECCIÓN. LA MIRADA DEL COLECCIONISTA SOBRE LA PIEZA DE COLECCIÓN Y SU VALORACIÓN COMO OBRA DE ARTE DE MASAS

In this work we intend to think about what it means to be collector, what is the meaning of a museum and what is the meaning of the collection. For this we have as a theoretical framework the contributions of some aesthetic-political essays by Walter Benjamin and Angus Fletcher's definition of allegory. In this context we will work with the collectors Agustín Gnecco and Eduard Fuchs. Under these considerations we take the collector's item as a work of art for the masses and an aesthetic object for the people. The collector's item is valued as a work of art, because the collector, by rescuing it from its objectification, resignifies it and gives it meaning. We wanted to start with the history of Agustín Gnecco because we believe that in them we find highly relevant elements such as the tradition and legacy of the collection. The Argentine collector made a large part of his collection on San Juan soil, forming the museum that bears his name.En este trabajo nos proponemos pensar qué significa ser coleccionista, qué sentido tiene un museo y cuál es el sentido de la colección. Para ello tenemos como marco teórico los aportes de algunos ensayos estéticos-políticos de Walter Benjamín y la definición de alegoría de Angus Fletcher. En este contexto trabajaremos con los coleccionistas Agustín Gnecco y Eduard Fuchs. Bajo estas consideraciones tomamos el objeto de colección como obra de arte de masas y objeto estético para el pueblo. Se valora al objeto de colección como obra de arte, porque el coleccionista, al rescatarlo de su cosificación, lo resignifica y dota de sentido. Hemos querido empezar con la historia de Agustín Gnecco porque consideramos que en ellas encontramos elementos de suma relevancia como son la tradición y el legado de la colección. El coleccionista argentino hizo gran parte de su colección en suelo sanjuanino, formando el museo que lleva su nombre
