    In the Americas, CVD represents about 38% of noncommunicable disease deaths. A roadmap for secondary prevention in Latin America and the Caribbean is warranted. Simple and practical guidelines should be developed and implemented. PAHO proposes a realistic and efficient prevention coalition plan in Latin America to fight CVD.
