    Healing

    No full text
Our film is based on our one word: Healing. We believe that healing is an important part of our community. When the community goes through a tough or difficult time, healing is a critical part of getting past the obstacles that we encounter in our lives. Our film revolves around a group of classmates. They all go to a Tea Talk on healing in the multicultural center on campus. The characters recall flashbacks of experiences when they were either hurt in the past or of a time they hurt someone else. Throughout the talk, they come to realize that even through the pain they must be able to heal in order to get on with their lives. Our film addresses current social problems and conflicts that we see occurring in our society today, including: Islamophobia, LGBT+ community issues, racial prejudices (interracial couples), and foster care. The relationships and friendships in the film are representative of these issues and used to show how we as a community can be able to heal and fix the problems we are facing today
