: Compliance is a relevant and expressive topic in the business world, with national and international prominence due to society's growing demand for companies that comply with the law, in addition to seeking to be socially and environmentally responsible. In this scenario, can the executive secretary help with this essential process for the organization? Therefore, the general objective of the work is to present the importance of the executive secretariat professional as an agent of change in the implementation and diffusion of Compliance in the organization and the specific ones are: to conceptualize what Compliance is and its relationship with ethics; punctuate the main elements in the formation of the executive secretary that brings him/her closer to Compliance; identify in the profile of the professional executive secretary's change agent in the development of the process to help companies adopt Compliance. The profile of the secretary will be included; the origin of Compliance; the difference between ethics and Compliance and its importance. The research is characterized as bibliographical and, based on the researched material, it was concluded that the executive secretary has the competences to be an agent of change in the face of the Compliance diffusion process.Resumo: Compliance é um tema relevante e expressivo no mundo empresarial, tendo destaque nacional e internacional pela crescente demanda da sociedade por empresas que estejam em conformidade com as leis, além de buscar ser socialmente e ambientalmente responsáveis. Nesse cenário, o secretário executivo pode ajudar nesse processo essencial para a organização? Sendo assim, o objetivo geral do trabalho é apresentar a importância do profissional de secretariado executivo como agente de mudança na implementação e difusão do Compliance na organização e os específicos são: conceituar o que é Compliance e sua relação com a ética; pontuar os principais elementos na formação do secretário executivo que o aproxima do Compliance; identificar no perfil agente de mudança do profissional secretário executivo no desenvolvimento do processo de ajuda na adoção do Compliance nas empresas. Constará o perfil do secretário; a origem do Compliance; a diferença entre ética e o Compliance e sua importância. A pesquisa se caracteriza como bibliográfica e, com base no material pesquisado concluiu-se que o secretário executivo tem competências para ser um agente de mudança frente ao processo de difusão do Compliance
