La Administración y la Gestión son unas de las funciones recientemente reconocidas de lo universitario. En la UNLP, su planificación es pensada en articulación no sólo con las de la tríada fundante (Enseñanza, Investigación y Extensión) sino también con las que han constituido ya unas trayectorias significativas en institucionalidad, organicidad y estructuraciones sólidas (Transferencia, el Arte, la Cultura y las Relaciones Institucionales). A partir de este planteo inicial del Plan Estratégico 2018-2022, también empezamos a vincular los procesos del Trabajo y la Producción que, con mucha fuerza y demandas, nos desafían al reconocimiento en las prácticas, procesos, productos y saberes que la Administración y la Gestión construyen con hegemonía formal, pero con necesidades sinérgicas.Management are one of the recently recognized functions of the university. At UNLP, its planning is designed in articulation not only with those of the founding triad (Teaching, Research and Extension) but also with those that have already constituted significant trajectories in institutionality, organicity and solid structuring (Transfer, Art, Culture and Institutional Relations). From this initial planting of the Strategic Plan 2018-2022, we also began to link the processes of Work and Production that, with great strength and demands, challenge us to recognition in the practices, processes, products and knowledge that Management builds with formal hegemony, but with synergistic needs.Gestão são uma das funções recentemente reconhecidas da universidade. During last months, there have been a significant increase in the evidences showing the catastrophic health situation in Venezuela. There are multiple epidemics, increase in emerging and reemerging infectious, tropical and parasitic diseases as consequences of the social, economic and political crises, which would be considered today a clearly anthropogenic disaster. Venezuela is facing in 2019, the worse sanitary conditions, with multiple implications for public health and travel medicine. So far, from a global perspective, this situation will be an impediment for the achievement of the sustainable development goals (SDG) in 2030. In this multiauthor review, there is a comprehensive analysis of the situation for infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, their impact in the Americas region, given the migration crisis as well as the comparative status of the SDG 2030. This discussion can provide input for prioritizing emerging health problems and establish a future agenda
