International audienceDans cette boucle de la Seine, en amont de Rouen, cinq sépultures collectives néolithiques ont été fouillées ou sondées lors d’opérations préventives en sablières, entre 1970 et 1994. Probablement presque toutes de type mégalithique (la certitude n’est possible que pour trois d’entre elles), elles se répartissent le long des berges d’un paléochenal actuellement comblé, mais encore déprimé, qui les sépare de la Seine

Geographical downscaling of outputs provided by an economic farm model calibrated at the regional level

International audienceThere is a strong need for accurate and spatially referenced information regarding policy making and model linkage. This need has been expressed by land users, and policy and decision makers in order to estimate both spatially and locally the impacts of European policy (like the Common Agricultural Policy) and/or global changes on farm-groups. These entities are defined according to variables such as altitude, economic size and type of farming (referring to land uses). European farm-groups are provided through the Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN) as statistical information delivered at regional level. The aim of the study is to map locally farm-group probabilities within each region. The mapping of the farm-groups is done in two steps: (1) by mapping locally the co-variables associated to the farm-groups, i.e. altitude and land uses; (2) by using regional FADN data as a priori knowledge for transforming land uses and altitude information into farm-groups location probabilities within each region. The downscaling process focuses on the land use mapping since land use data are originally point information located every 18 km. Interpolation of land use data is done at 100 m by using co-variables like land cover, altitude, climate and soil data which are continuous layers usually provided at fine resolution. Once the farm-groups are mapped, European Policy and global changes scenarios are run through an agro-economic model for assessing environmental impacts locally

Building a knowledge and innovation platform on diffuse and point soil contamination as base for (inter)national soil policies

This article highlights the importance of soil contamination, both from diffuse and point source pollution. It summarises a series of presentations at the Global Soil Week 2015 illustrating the current understanding of soil exposed to pollutants, including the main sources of contamination, the hazards and risks that pollutants in soil present for the environment and human health, as well as the possible ways to address the problem from both global and EU perspectives. It summarises the World Café discussions on four themes that participants identified as the key areas for further action: remediation of contaminated sites, alternatives to the use of chemicals and pollutants, harmonisation of monitoring and approaches and Knowledge and innovation platform.JRC.H.5-Land Resources Managemen

Jouer en bibliothèque

Le développement du jeu vidéo mais également l’engouement des jeunes adultes pour les jeux de plateau, l’utilisation de dispositifs ludiques comme outils de médiation ou associés aux apprentissages sont venus prolonger les services des ludothèques et conduisent les bibliothèques à se réinventer pour devenir les lieux naturels où permettre la pratique de l’expérience du jeu dans toutes ses dimensions. Le plan s’organise autour de quatre parties : connaître le contexte (les espaces, les équipes, le droit), acquérir/valoriser (les fonds, jouets et serious games), animer/créer (projet de service, partenariats, médiation), et participer (une approche orientée communauté)
