Nonuniversal Effects in the Homogeneous Bose Gas
Effective field theory predicts that the leading nonuniversal effects in the
homogeneous Bose gas arise from the effective range for S-wave scattering and
from an effective three-body contact interaction. We calculate the leading
nonuniversal contributions to the energy density and condensate fraction and
compare the predictions with results from diffusion Monte Carlo calculations by
Giorgini, Boronat, and Casulleras. We give a crude determination of the
strength of the three-body contact interaction for various model potentials.
Accurate determinations could be obtained from diffusion Monte Carlo
calculations of the energy density with higher statistics.Comment: 24 pages, RevTex, 5 ps figures, included with epsf.te
Effective hadronic Lagrangian for charm mesons
An effective hadronic Lagrangian including the charm mesons is introduced to
study their interactions in hadronic matter. Using coupling constants that are
determined either empirically or by the SU(4) symmetry, we have evaluated the
absorption cross sections of and the scattering cross sections of
and by and mesons.Comment: 5 pages, 4 eps figures, presented at Strangeness 2000, Berkeley. Uses

New high fill-factor triangular micro-lens array fabrication method using UV proximity printing
A simple and effective method to fabricate a high fill-factor triangular
microlens array using the proximity printing in lithography process is
reported. The technology utilizes the UV proximity printing by controlling a
printing gap between the mask and substrate. The designed approximate triangle
microlens array pattern can be fabricated the high fill-factor triangular
microlens array in photoresist. It is due to the UV light diffraction to
deflect away from the aperture edges and produce a certain exposure in
photoresist material outside the aperture edges. This method can precisely
control the geometric profile of high fill factor triangular microlens array.
The experimental results showed that the triangular micro-lens array in
photoresist could be formed automatically when the printing gap ranged from 240
micrometers to 840 micrometers. The gapless triangular microlens array will be
used to increases of luminance for backlight module of liquid crystal displays.Comment: Submitted on behalf of EDA Publishing Association

Discovery of X-ray pulsations from "next Geminga" - PSR J1836+5925
We report the X-ray pulsation of ~173.3 ms for the "next Geminga", PSR
J1836+5925, with recent XMM-Newton investigations. The X-ray periodicity is
consistent wtih the gamma-ray ephemeris at the same epoch. The X-ray folded
light curve has a sinusoidal structure which is different from the
double-peaked gamma-ray pulse profile. We have also analysed the X-ray
phase-averaged spectra which shows the X-ray emission from PSR J1836+5925 is
thermal dominant. This suggests the X-ray pulsation mainly originates from the
modulated hot spot on the stellar surface.Comment: 7 pages, 3 figures, 1 table, accepted for publication in ApJ Lette

Design and finite element mode analysis of noncircular gear
The noncircular gear transmission is an important branch of the gear transmission, it is characterized by its compact structure, good dynamic equilibration and other advantages, and can be used in the automobile, engineering machine, ship, machine tool, aviation and spaceflight field etc. Studying on the dynamics feature of noncircular gear transmission can improve the ability to carry loads of, reduce the vibration and noise of, increase the life of the noncircular gear transmission machine, provides guidance for the design of the noncircular gear, and has significant theories and practical meanings. In this paper, the gear transmission technique is used to studied the design method of the noncircular gear, which contains distribution of teeth on the pitch curve, designs of the tooth tip curve and the tooth root curve, design of the tooth profile curve, the gear system dynamics principle is introduced to establish dynamics model for the noncircular gear; basic theory of finite element and mode analysis method are applied, finite element model for the noncircular gear is established, natural vibration characteristic of the noncircular gear is studied. And the oval gear is taken as an example, the mathematics software MathCAD, the 3D modeling software UG and the finite element software ABAQUS are used to realize precise 3D model of the oval gear. The finite element method is used, the natural vibration characteristic of the oval gear is studied, the main vibration types and natural frequencies of the oval gear and that of the equivalent cylindrical gears are analyzed and compared, the conclusions received reflect the dynamics performance of the oval gear, and solid foundation is laid for dynamics research and engineering application of the oval gear transmission
