Accelerated quantum walk, two-particle entanglement generation and localization
We present a scheme to describe the dynamics of accelerating discrete-time
quantum walk for one- and two-particle in position space. We show the effect of
acceleration in enhancing the entanglement between the particle and position
space in one-particle quantum walk and in generation of entanglement between
the two unentangled particle in two-particle quantum walk. By introducing the
disorder in the form of phase operator we study the transition from
localization to delocalization as a function of acceleration. These
inter-winding connection between acceleration, entanglement generation and
localization along with well established connection of quantum walks with Dirac
equation can be used to probe further in the direction of understanding the
connection between acceleration, mass and entanglement in relativistic quantum
mechanics and quantum field theory. Expansion of operational tools for quantum
simulations and for modelling quantum dynamics of accelerated particle using
quantum walks is an other direction where these results can play an important
role.Comment: 16 Pages, 22 Figures. Published versio
Bounds on the dynamics of periodic quantum walks and emergence of the gapless and gapped Dirac equation
We study the dynamics of discrete-time quantum walk using quantum coin
operations, and in time-dependent
periodic sequence. For the two-period quantum walk with the parameters
and in the coin operations we show that the standard
deviation [] is the same as the minimum of
standard deviation obtained from one of the one-period quantum walks with coin
operations or , . Our numerical result is
analytically corroborated using the dispersion relation obtained from the
continuum limit of the dynamics. Using the dispersion relation for one- and
two-period quantum walks, we present the bounds on the dynamics of three- and
higher period quantum walks. We also show that the bounds for the two-period
quantum walk will hold good for the split-step quantum walk which is also
defined using two coin operators using and . Unlike the
previous known connection of discrete-time quantum walks with the massless
Dirac equation where coin parameter , here we show the recovery of
the massless Dirac equation with non-zero parameters contributing to
the intriguing interference in the dynamics in a totally non-relativistic
situation. We also present the effect of periodic sequence on the entanglement
between coin and position space.Comment: 10 Pages, 9 figures, Published versio
UGC-VQA: Benchmarking Blind Video Quality Assessment for User Generated Content
Recent years have witnessed an explosion of user-generated content (UGC)
videos shared and streamed over the Internet, thanks to the evolution of
affordable and reliable consumer capture devices, and the tremendous popularity
of social media platforms. Accordingly, there is a great need for accurate
video quality assessment (VQA) models for UGC/consumer videos to monitor,
control, and optimize this vast content. Blind quality prediction of
in-the-wild videos is quite challenging, since the quality degradations of UGC
content are unpredictable, complicated, and often commingled. Here we
contribute to advancing the UGC-VQA problem by conducting a comprehensive
evaluation of leading no-reference/blind VQA (BVQA) features and models on a
fixed evaluation architecture, yielding new empirical insights on both
subjective video quality studies and VQA model design. By employing a feature
selection strategy on top of leading VQA model features, we are able to extract
60 of the 763 statistical features used by the leading models to create a new
fusion-based BVQA model, which we dub the \textbf{VID}eo quality
\textbf{EVAL}uator (VIDEVAL), that effectively balances the trade-off between
VQA performance and efficiency. Our experimental results show that VIDEVAL
achieves state-of-the-art performance at considerably lower computational cost
than other leading models. Our study protocol also defines a reliable benchmark
for the UGC-VQA problem, which we believe will facilitate further research on
deep learning-based VQA modeling, as well as perceptually-optimized efficient
UGC video processing, transcoding, and streaming. To promote reproducible
research and public evaluation, an implementation of VIDEVAL has been made
available online: \url{https://github.com/tu184044109/VIDEVAL_release}.Comment: 13 pages, 11 figures, 11 table
PHYTOCHEMICAL OBSERVATIONS ON SOME SPECIES OF ANDROGRAPHIS WALL
Phytochemical studies of leaf of the herbs, Andrographis paniculata and Andrographis lineate (Acanthaceae) were carried out. Presence of phenolic compounds, flavonoids, alkaloids saponins and tannins and absence of steroids and triterpenoids have been reported there in this herbs for the first time
PROPAGATION OF ANDROGRAPHIS LINEATA NEES BY STEM CUTTINGS
Androgaphis lineate Nees., an important tribal medicinal plant of the Shevaroy Hill was noted to be restricted in its distribution due to biotic pressure. The species was successfully propagated by stem cuttings in its habitat. The percentage establishment of stem cuttings was 67
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITIES OF SOME SPECIES OF ANDROGRAPHIS WALL. (ACANTHACEAE)
The anti – inflammatory activities of the alcoholic extracts of three species of Andrographis Wall. were assayed at a dose of 500 mg/kg body weight in Male albino rats using carrageenin induced rat paw edema. All the extracts were screened for their anti-inflammatory activities in Carrageenin induced inflammation in rats. The maximal anti-inflammatory activity was found with the alcoholic extract of Andrographis alata Nees
ANTIVENOM ACTIVITIES OF SOME SPECIES OF ANDROGRAPHIS WALL
Antivenom activities of the alcoholic extracts of three species of Andrographis wall, were measured at a concentration of 10,25,50,75 and 100 μg/ml by in vitro assay of HRBC membrane lysis. All the extracts were found to be effective in the inhibition of in vitro HRBC lysis. The maximum antivenom activity was found in the alcoholicextract of Andrographis paniculata Nees
NOMENCLATURAL CONFUSION OF SOME SPECIES OF ANDROGRAPHIS WALL
Andrographis paniculata Nees, Andrographis alata Nees and Andrographis lineate Nees. (Acanthaceae) are important medicinal plants useful in the treatment of various human ailments. Nomenclatural confusion prevails with regards to these medicinal plants in India medical literature and vernacular nomenclature. This nomenclatural confusion has been clarified in the present paper

Thirty species belonging to 23 genera and 21 families yield edible fruits. They are listed in alphabetical order followed by family, common name and Tamil names
Crossover to negative dielectric constant in perovskite PrMnO3
Negative dielectric constant materials, once an incumbrance for physicists,
are now the stockpiles of unique optical and microwave devices that will also
avoid complex geometries. We report the observation of temperature dependent
negative dielectric constant (NDC) above 503 K in the perovskite PrMnO3,
confirmed through impedance spectroscopy, obeying classical Drude theory. The
principle behind the associated negative dielectric loss is explained using the
Axelrod mechanism.Comment: 11 pages, 4 Figure
