An Experiment and Detection Scheme for Cavity-based Cold Dark Matter Searches
A resonance detection scheme and some useful ideas for cavity-based searches
of light cold dark matter particles (such as axions) are presented, as an
effort to aid in the on-going endeavors in this direction as well as for future
experiments, especially in possibly developing a table-top experiment. The
scheme is based on our idea of a resonant detector, incorporating an integrated
Tunnel Diode (TD) and a GaAs HEMT/HFET (High Electron Mobility
Transistor/Heterogenous FET) transistor amplifier, weakly coupled to a cavity
in a strong transverse magnetic field. The TD-amplifier combination is
suggested as a sensitive and simple technique to facilitate resonance detection
within the cavity while maintaining excellent noise performance, whereas our
proposed Halbach magnet array could serve as a low-noise and permanent solution
replacing the conventional electromagnets scheme. We present some preliminary
test results which demonstrate resonance detection from simulated test signals
in a small optimal axion mass range with superior Signal-to-Noise Ratios (SNR).
Our suggested design also contains an overview of a simpler on-resonance dc
signal read-out scheme replacing the complicated heterodyne readout. We believe
that all these factors and our propositions could possibly improve or at least
simplify the resonance detection and read-out in cavity-based DM particle
detection searches (and other spectroscopy applications) and reduce the
complications (and associated costs), in addition to reducing the
electromagnetic interference and background.Comment: 22 pages, 7 figure

The Different Magnetic Results of Anemi and PPM Measurements on the Buried Remains of a 13th Century Fortress
This study aimed to evaluate the different magnetic results of an electromagnetic induction with proton magnetometer measurements on an archaeological site. The electromagnetic induction allows measuring both the apparent magnetic susceptibility in part per thousand (ppt) and the apparent electrical conductivity in millisiemens (mS/m). A proton magnetometer measures the total magnetic intensity in nanotesla (nT), caused by the induced and remanent magnetisations. An archaeological site where historical documents indicated the presence of a 13th century fortress that built by Lamuri Sultanate was selected as a test area. The measurement were conducted by divided the study area into 10 profiles. Some standard data processing have been applied to the measured data. The result of the first survey with electromagnetic induction showed low magnetic anomalies in the buried remains of Lamuri fortress. The similar value are shown as well by low magnetic field intensity in magnetometer measurement
Design of a small-scale solar Dryer to Improve Natural Drying of Vegetables and Fish
This study aimed at improvement of a solar dryer based on the principle of natural–convection used for drying vegetables and fish. The constructed dryer, comprises of three main models, solar collector (tent of polythene sheet collector), drying chamber and solar chimney. Design has been made to eliminate the problem of quality loss and over drying. Okra, Tomato, onion, fish were subjected to solar drying and open – air drying processes. The chemical, microbiological analyses and sensory evaluation were carried out for the dried products. The results gives indication of improved quality for solar dryer compared to products dried in open – air systems which indicates its efficiency in drying.

Surface Electromyography of Eyes Potential Behaviour using Wavelet Transform Analysis
The previous study of eyes potential behavior was carried out using Fourier Transform
which is found to be working on a single scale. Then, Wavelet Transform was proposed to overcome the limitation. Hence, the objective of this paper is to identify the surface electromyography of eye movement potentials behavior by using Wavelet Transform scalogram analysis. The eye movement signals are detected by using electrodes that are placed on a person’s forehead around the eye. It then recorded the signal using the data acquisition Electroencephalograph Neurofax-9200. The eye moved towards various directions involving 15 humans were identified. The Wavelet scalogram analyzed the eye movement signals by comparing the energy distribution with the change of time and frequency of each signal. The results proved that different surface electromyography of eye movement signals created different signals energy with their corresponding scales. Analysis of variance statistically proved that there was a 99% significance difference between each scale indicating that each eye movement has different frequency bands and energy distribution. These findings could be integrated to design a support machine for paralyzed people to move their robot or wheelchair by using eye movements. Future works should explore the energy and frequency bands distribution within four eye movement signals for better interpretation of surface Electromyography signals analysis by using Wavelet scalogram
Advokasi Dakwah Dalam Budaya Lokal "Balimau" Menyambut Bulan Ramadhan Di Padang Sumatera Barat
"Balimau" as a cultural heritage of the past is associated with fasting Ramadan. "Balimau" welcomes the month of Ramadan is a tradition for the people of Padang, West Sumatra. "Balimau" / toiletries contain a unique coming value. "Balimau", itself is a shower using water mixed with lime or orange. Aside from being an overflow of excitement, self-cleaning also comes. The purpose of "Balimau" is to purify oneself before entering the month of Ramadan, this form of self-purification by bathing in rivers and lakes, washing with oranges and fragrant potpourri. After "Balimau" then forgive because it will enter the month of Ramadan, evening prayer tarawih and the next day fasting. In addition there is also "Balimau" which is done in the bathroom by applying spices and fragrances to a container filled with water and then shampooing the fragrance. However, the "Balimau" tradition has shifted values from positive to come, not even in accordance with the teachings of the Islamic religion, for example, purifying oneself was polluted with the practice of bathing together without the veil between men and women in public baths. Therefore the Majlis Ulama of West Sumatra issued a fatwa that "Balimau" welcoming the holy month of Ramadan is forbidden in Isla
