    Implementation of embedded assistive device for disabled people

    In this paper we present an embedded assistive device for disabled people that is intended to be used as both keyboard and mouse replacement. Assistive device consists of two main parts: an Arduino compatible board, preferably an Arduino UNO R3 as used in this paper, or an Arduino Leonardo, and a simple analog thumb-stick joystick. Presented device is connected to a computer trough a USB port trough which it sends its input data. Special software\ud collects the received input data and triggers various events in order to execute various actions. Primary goal of presented assistive device is to simulate mouse movements and a single mouse click and in that manner replace majority of moue functions thus enabling users to perform various mouse based tasks such as navigating through menus, drag and drop actions etc., as well as to enable an input and control over a virtual onscreen keyboard thus enabling users to type

    Separation of Players in Teams during Basketball Matches

    This paper represents a framework for automatic player separation in teams during basketball matches. Separation is made in images broadcasted via television stations. In them, we have view from only single camera in particular point of time. This makes detection of players and their separation much more difficult. The player detection is based on mixture of non-oriented pictorial structures. After detection we extract image parts that represent player’s jersey. Over that area we calculate histogram on S value from HSV color system. According to top five picks, we cluster players in teams. This approach give us accuracy of 92.38%. Its main advantages are robustness and applicability on the large number of footages from different basketball games without need for additional training and algorithm changes

    U ovom radu je predložene pristup izgradnji ontološki modela u domeni državnih razvojnih fondova. Autori opisuju proces stvaranja ontologije Garantnog fonda Autonomne pokrajine Vojvodine (OMGFAPV). Kreirana ontologija definira strukturni položaj Fonda u području javne uprave i opisuje upravne postupke u Garantnom fondu Autonomne pokrajine Vojvodine (APV) u procesu izdavanja garancija. U ovom radu, autori predstavljaju i metodu za kreiranje konceptualnog modela državnih garantnih fondova kao temelja za stvaranje OMGFAPV.This paper proposes an approach to building an ontological model in the domain of the state development funds. Authors describe the process of creating ontology of the Guarantee Fund of Autonomous province of Vojvodina (OMGFAPV). Created ontology defines the structural position of the fund in the domain of public administration and administrative procedures of the Guarantee Fund of Autonomous province of Vojvodina (APV) in the process of issuing the guarantees.     Ontology of the Development Strategies: (The) Basis for Decision Support in Government Development Funds

    This paper presents a methodical approach to the creation of the ontological model which serves as a knowledge base in the decision-making process of evaluation clients who are applying for loans and subsides of state development funds. The role of the proposed ontological model is steering government subsidies and investments in industries and areas of socio - economic development which are defined by the state development strategies. The ultimate aim of this research is to suggest appropriate classifiers (priority indexes) for each ensemble of the socio-economic parameters in the context of scoring government development funds clients. The novelty of the research presented in this paper is reflected by the identifying and semantically presenting of social and economic characteristics, which covers the area of operation of state development funds and which are relevant for the development of the analyzed region. The advantages which are achieved by using the proposed ontology model are: decision-making process that excludes the subjective reasoning of the administrative staff and decision proposals which are justified in state development strategies. The authors in this paper propose an implementation procedure and show a prototype example of utilization of the created ontology

    Phonon Contribution in Thermodynamics of Nano-Crystalline Films and Wires

    Spectra of possible phonon states, as well as thermodynamic characteristics of nanocrystals (ultrathin film and quantum wire) of simple cubic crystalline structure are analyzed in this paper, using the method of two-time dependent Green functions. From energy spectra and internal energy of the system the thermal capacitance of these structures in low temperature region is found. The temperature behavior of specific heat is compared to that of corresponding bulk structure. It is shown that at extremely low temperatures thermal capacitance of quantum wire is considerably lower than the thermal capacitance 4 film as well as the bulk sample. Consequences of this fact are discussed in detail and its influence to thermodynamic properties of materials is estimated

    Edge detection is an important operation in the analysis of a digital image and includes a set of mathematical methods to identify points of discontinuity. For this purpose, different algorithms are used for estimating image gradient. Many edge detection techniques are implemented with convolution mask and based on discrete approximations to differential operators. Differential operations measure the rate of change in the image brightness function. The compass approach implies taking a single mask and rotating it to major compass orientations. Using a suitable programming environment, this paper provides a comparative visual analysis of several digital images, with the ability to change the kernel set in compass edge detection
