D10.2 â Research Data Management Plan, version 3.0:RAGE â WP10 â D10.2
What data will be collected, processed or generated during the RAGE project? Following what methodology and standards? And what data will be shared and/or made openly available, and how will it be curated and preserved? These issues are typically described in a Data Management Plan (DMP), outlining how research data is handled during the project and after the project is completed. The RAGE DMP specifically provides guidelines on ethics, data protection and open research data access to RAGE researchers involved in WP5 (Case experiments) and WP8 (Validation). Ethics and data protection are especially relevant in view of the games and audiences targeted by RAGE. Therefore, RAGE is one of the participating projects in the EU open research data pilot, an initiative under Horizon 2020 that aims at improving and maximising the access to and re-use of research data created in European projects. This document is the third and final iteration of the DMP
Pattern-based information portal for business plan co-creation
Creation of business plans helps entrepreneurs in managing identification of business opportunities and committing necessary resources for process evolution. Applying patterns in business plan creation facilitates the identification of effective solutions that were adopted in the past and may provide a basis for adopting similar solutions in the future within given business context. The article presents the system design of an information portal for business plan co-creation based on patterns. The portal is going to provide start-up and entrepreneurs with ready-to-modify business plan patterns in order to help them in development of effective and efficient business plans. It will facilitate entrepreneurs in co-experimenting and co-learning more frequently and faster. Moreover, the paper focuses on the software architecture of the pattern based portal and explains the functionality of its modules, namely the pattern designer, pattern repository services and agent-based pattern implementers. It explains their role for business process co-creation, storing and managing patterns described formally, and selecting patterns best suited for specific business case. Thus, innovative entrepreneurs will be guided by the portal in co-writing winning business plans and staying competitive in the present day dynamic globalized environment
Visualization of complex data relationships and maps: Using the BLOOM platform to provide business insights
Modern information visualization in focussed on new methods for visual mappings and novel strategies for interaction and navigation through various types of view of a visual form. The paper presents the Bloom platform for visualization of complex networks with highly related entities and aggregations, both able to possess complex data attributes. It discusses two case studies assessing the scalability of the tool by creating a visualization of the large, complex networks - one of Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation, containing data of approximately 1,900 companies aggregated within a cluster hierarchy, and another of Danish companies' cluster. There are presented various visualization layouts of the company network and a representation of some company data properties over Google maps
The RAGE advanced game technologies repository for supporting applied game development
This paper describes the structural architecture of the RAGE repository, which is a unique and dedicated infrastructure that provides access to a wide variety of advanced technologies (RAGE software assets) for applied game development. These software assets are reusable across a wide diversity of game engines, game platforms and programming languages. The RAGE repository allows applied game developers and studios to search for software assets for inclusion in applied games. The repository is designed as an asset life-cycle management system for defining, publishing, updating, searching and packaging for distribution of these assets. The RAGE repository provides storage space for assets and their artifacts. It will be embedded in a social platform for networking among asset developers and other users. A dedicated Asset Repository Manager provides the main functionality of the repository and its integration with other systems. Tools supporting the Asset Manager are presented and discussed. When the RAGE repository is in full operation, applied game developers will be able to easily enhance the quality of their games by including advanced game technology assets
