We discuss different representations of the White noise spaces (E)β(E)_{\beta}, 0β<10 \leq \beta < 1 by introducing generalized Wick tensors. As an application we state a generalization of the Mehler formula for the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck semigroup

New tests of the gauge-fixing approach to lattice chiral gauge theories

We report on recent progress with the gauge-fixing approach to lattice chiral gauge theories. The bosonic sector of the gauge-fixing approach is studied with fully dynamical U(1) gauge fields. We demonstrate that it is important to formulate the Lorentz gauge-fixing action such that the dense set of lattice Gribov copies is removed, and the gauge-fixing action has a unique absolute minimum. We then show that the spectrum in the continuum limit contains only the desired massless photon, as expected.Comment: 6 pages, Latex, 4 figures, LATTICE99 (chiral gauge theories

Scarcity vs. Abundance: Moving Beyond Dualism to “Enough”

In American culture, we are often caught between a fear of scarcity and an awareness of overwhelming abundance. I don’t know about you, but I often feel bombarded by messages encouraging me to get more, be more, have more, do more. Even as an American of modest means, I have abundant access to food and other resources. There is even an abundance of exercise equipment and regimens to help us burn off the abundance of calories we eat — and an abundance of how-to books on simplifying our lives after all the stuff we buy. Abundance seems to be everywhere

Chiral gauge theories on the lattice without gauge fixing?

We discuss two proposals for a non-perturbative formulation of chiral gauge theories on the lattice. In both cases gauge symmetry is broken by the regularization. We aim at a dynamical restoration of symmetry. If the gauge symmetry breaking is not too severe this procedure could lead in the continuum limit to the desired chiral gauge theory.Comment: 3 pages, 1 figure, contribution to the 2nd IMACS conference on Computational Physics, UCSD/PTH 93-3
